Y The Last Man would make a good animated series, but I reckon it'd be possible to condense the plot down enough to make a decent movie.
Again with the data mining, dear Aunt?I'd love to see a Sluggy Freelance animated series, maybe on Adult Swim or Comedy Central.
I think Strontium Dog has the potential to make a good cartoon, if the early cheesy dialogue is polished.
Ukrainian Red Cross
Respect the Red Right Hand
The Super Buddies, as an animated comedy series, with Nicole Sullivan as Fire, and Jack Black as Booster Gold.
I would have liked to see a series based on the Wipeout racing game franchise. The games were amazing. All they needed was a story with characters.
"True story, I came when I read Scrye's story, and so did everyone within five miles." —OOZEGastro Phobia, full stop. Each story so far seems perfect for a ten-minute episode, and the style lends itself well to animation.
Also, Animorphs. That brief live action adaptation didn't touch anywhere near the amazing things that were described in the books...
Well, Runaways for starters. While I loved the movie to pieces, I wouldn't have minded an animated Scott Pilgrim miniseries either.
@Ronnie: Interestingly, there's been some rumblings that once Batman The Brave And The Bold ends, they might try to spinoff a Justice League International series from it which would have a cast fairly similar to the Superbuddies. I think I heard it would be Jaime instead of Ted, Aquaman would be in, and it would eventually be Captain Marvel rather than Mary Marvel.

Respect the Red Right Hand
Bionicle. The series lends itself perfectly to a TV show, why wasn't it made?
And yet the totally lame series Hero Factory gets one...

Formerly known as Crow T. Robot.Someday I'd like to see a serious Animated Adaptation of Der Ring des Nibelungen, done roughly in the style of the Arthur Rackham illustrations (except for his cutesy dwarfs). Unlikely, though, as it would be horrendously expensive, and have practically no commercial viability. It'd have to be funded by a massive government grant. Huh, like that's likely to happen!
Oh, and Oscar Wilde's The Canterville Ghost. And Stephen St. Vincent Benet's The Devil And Daniel Webster.

I think a REAL James Bond cartoon could work (not that james bond jr stuff). Heck, with the movie series in limbo, a bond cartoon may be the only way we'd get new bond adventures. You dont even need to make it an adult cartoon, it could work as a pg/pg13 type show (just deemphasize the sex element).
A Runaways cartoon could work but how would Moral Guardians react to Karolina and Xavin?
Seconded. The Emperor knows why they went with live action.
Ukrainian Red CrossThe Dark Knight Returns, with Adam West voicing Batman and Jack Nicholson as the Joker.
I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass.

Exactly What It Says on the Tin, which means this kind of thread was already made, but I'm stubborn. What source material do you think would make a pretty kickass cartoon? Could be feature-length or a series. Doesn't matter.
