At first I was like "Awesome!"
Then I remembered this is a Cliffhanger before a three day weekedn, and I was like, "Nooooooooooo!"
^ Her character went to hell specifically because she's the normal, relatable, likeable one. She gets all this misfortune precisely because the audience will react the way you are with her in trouble more strongly than with any other character.
But in the end, it's also that much more satisfying when she ends up ok. I wouldn't worry.

Exactly what behavior of Zoe's would you call "assholeish"? Only thing that's coming to my mind is the "using embarassing stories about friends on the radio" thing, but under the circumstances I don't think it was that big a deal (and she did try to make it up to them).
As for Zoe's current state . . . I'm forseeing Riff making some kind of Faustian bargain to try and get her healed.
The whole "radio show" storyline with Zoe seemed intended to make her into a selfish character with no concern for her friends or family. Especially when Min called into the radio show to berate her for missing out on Christmas due to work (oy, seriously? Does she know how many jobs keep people away on Christmas?!)
I honestly didn't think she was that bad, but the comic treated her like she was committing this horrible sin and only Torg had enough forgiveness to care for her.
No, only Zoe's mom (who has a long history of being completely unreasonable) called to berate her for not coming home for Christmas. Min only called to complain because Zoe chose Christmas of all days to drop the tattoo/racy-radio-show revelation on their mom, then cut off all communication with home, leaving Min and their dad to have to deal with it.
Possible ways Zoe could come out of this okay:
1) She's infected with nanites ala Dr. Crabtree.
2) She's made the new host body for Oasis or Kusari (assuming the spirit possession thing pans out).
3) Transforming into a camel and transforming back heals all of her wounds (this has never been shown, but Zoe's never been injured when someone's said "shupid" around her that I recall).
Hey I know this is a bit off-topic but not completely, since Oasis was around lately.
I just wanted to say I feel like she's almost an invincible villan. Except for the fact that she has character, a clear motivation, and at one time was pretty interesting, she seems to fit the bill. I don't know. Personally I've just been hating her more and more and I want to label her as a Scrappy. As much as I love Sluggy I feel like Oasis has become a plot device. I guess mostly I am really sick of her practically never losing. Thoughts?
Technically she's never actually won anything against the good guys, though. Not that I remember, anyway.
But anyway, her being an everpresent threat is sort of the point, isn't it? That's why there's that whole storyline about somehow stopping her before the heroes stop being lucky. She's less of a character in that regard and more of a presence.

This looks like a Torg who became driven to the point of losing most of his compassion. Seems like a shell of a Torg more than a Torg himself.
