Sheathe sat down at a table with Justice Man and looked through a menu.
"Y'know, that civilian reminded me of a certain bomb thrower," Sheathe said casually while trying to pick something to order.
Meanwhile, Aria took up a table in a different part of the restaurant. "Geez, Jeff, one of these days, you ought work on your subtlety."
Unfortunately for Scan and Wall Man, the thief was already long gone from Cornell Laboratories. In fact, he was at home, quietly watching TV. Well, I'm done for the night, he thought to himself.
"Apocalypse, yeah. I have no idea where you got the Denoue-something," Sheathe said to Justice Man, apparently having no idea about the villain's name change.
The superheroine flipped through the menu while Aria did the same at a different table.
"Hmm, I wonder what I should order..."
After the evening snack, the detective and Anne drove back to their apartment building and returned to their respective rooms, turning in for the night.
Doll let Vigil handle the meeting time and location; after all, she didn't exactly know any "comfortable" places to meet in the city.
— A week later —
There where many chinese restaurants on Radio City, as on any city worth the name. Still the fanciest one was called the Imperial Garden. It had just about anything you might imagine on an expensive five star restaurant. Including private rooms.
The owner also owned a little debt to a certain masked hero. This was mostly the reason for the prescence of the unlikiest party ever to grace one of those rooms. First was the masked hero, sitting on it's pure white costume and mask, arms crossed as well as it's legs. On it's side sat a woman more fitting to the surroundings if anything for her incredible beauty. Still those who knew her would realize that this was the last place one should expect to find her.
Then there was the huge black man that sat on the opposite side of the table. He seemed more fitting on one of the lower rooms standing on a corner ready to quell any problem.
The last member of this particular party was no less unexpected. A seemingly prepusbecent girl, dressed in an overly elaborate black dress enjoying a cup of green tea.
Mr. 5 pulled up to the theater, he would have done this sooner, but he had an unfortunate run in with a woman in black, and got injured in their battle and was unable to proceed with his plan. Thankfully now he was able to continue. He went out of his car, and talked to the ticket lady, "Yes hello I was wondering if you had any job openings."
Doll ate her meal in silence, never taking her eyes off the two across the table. While the girl looked like a child, the fact that Bruno was subservient to her made the immortal woman highly suspicious. A long moment of wordlessness passed by as Doll's plate was left completely clean. Clearing her throat with some water, she finally spoke.
"So, why did you want to see us?" The tone of distrust behind Doll's voice was quite apparent.
"Okay, on three. One, two, three!"
A wooden door splintered into thousands of pieces, scattering across the floor of an empty apartment room. The police officers split up and searched the place, but found nothing.
"Looks like another dead end," said the detective, sighing as he walked in behind the cops. "I'll give that Sophie one thing. She certainly knows how to cover her tracks once she's started running."
The ticket lady looked up at Mr. 5. "Um, yes, actually. But we've got a lot of positions open... is there any in particular you'd like to look at?" she asked in earnest.
Ial, sitting at a desk inside the theatre, smiled.
At the Daniel and Sons Bank of Radio City, it was a quiet, boring day. Of course, since I typed the name of the place here, it wasn't going to stay quiet for long...
CRAAAAAAAAAAAASHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
There we go. A certain motorcycle came crashing through one of the windows of the bank, startling and scaring the customers. The protective dome around the driver's seat slid back and a woman in biker clothing and a scarf around her mouth stepped off to greet the terrified crowd, holding up her two sawn off shotguns.
"Alright, people, you know the drill! Cash and valuables, as long as you cooperate, no one gets hurt, blah blah blah."
Ellen was... sleeping on the couch.

Professor Apocalypse stumbled out of the vault of a different bank, already clutching two bags of cash. "Don't mind me, I didn't take it all!" he said as he strode out, throwing a sleeping gas grenade behind him. Apocalypse then headed for a manhole to try for a smooth getaway. "Oh god please don't run into anyone heroic..."

((Taco, I'm going to have to call bullshit. Your character was not established as being there, I already established that it was a "quiet, boring day" at the place, and if Apocalypse had came in prior, the civilians would already have been upset before Muse smashed into the bank. Your post is retconned effective immediately. No argument.))
"Alright, I think we have a few spots open for the position, so I'll let you inside," said the ticket booth lady before getting out of her box. With the keys to the theater, she opened one of the doors for Mr. 5. "Mr. Lesson's office is down the hall to the left, the last door. Be sure to knock first, as he's usually busy in the morning."
Zzzzzzzzzzzzz...
Ellen proceeded to snore.
Dorothy ate her food with perfect table manners, occasionally drinking some liquid which Bruno poured for her from a bottle he brought.
"My, right to the heart of the issue" Dorothy said while running her finger around the top of the cup from which she drank.
"Still considering the little history we have together I guess it was a bit too much to expect some nice chatter before we got to business"
"All this thing of supernaturals slaying other supernaturals... that won't do, not at all. After all we are not humans to go around murdering each other recklessly"
"No, we need an order on which to base our chaos. This whole issue with the poor Dimitri could have been avoided... the same with our subsequent attempt at bringing justice to his murderers"
"So this is what I brought you here for. To put an order to the dark side of this city. To those who live hiding in plain sight of the humans"
Sophie sat in a dingy hotel room, far too expensive for the rat hole that it was. Her hair was bright red, a differen color form yesterday and yet different form the day before. She was constantly on the move, not a hard task considering she could carry all she had around her neck but still it wasn't a life she liked.
She screw up. She got to emotional and now she was paying the price for it. She was a wanted woman, police where looking for her everywhere. And yet... the hardest part was when she saw from the shadows how they took in all her cooworkers, her double life was exposed to those only now she recogniced as friends.
All because of that damn job she took, the damn detective that decided to nose around far too much and the thrice damned Cassandra Tal.
The detective had himself some morning coffee at a cafe after the failed bust. The police force seemed to have all the evidence they needed; they just needed to catch the perp. Seemed to be much easier said than done though.
The man sighed and took another sip from his cup. Well, no use moping, he thought. Just gotta keep at it.
"And why would we want to put forth the kind of order you want instead of our own kind?" Doll questioned Dorothy.
"Please do come in, Mr. 5; I have been anticipating your arrival," said the voice behind the door.
A person leaped off of the rooftops and landed in front of Apocalypse as he was trying to make his escape, shattering the concrete beneath her feet. The woman, clad in purple and black, turned to face the bomber.
"Hello, Apocalypse," One said simply.
Ellen shifted and turned over on the couch.

Mimic had been relatively busy the last couple of days, occupying some of his time with rehearsing for the plays. It had reduced his time out in the town a bit, but he had just wandered for most of that anyway. Now he tended to target specific people or places, or at least set out with a certain goal. As he was musing on this, he saw a man matching 5's description headed towards Ial's office. Hmm. I wonder what he wants.
((Note: Mimic's power of the day is copied from Sheena of Tales Of Symphonia.))
Gale swooped down from his vantage point on the cliff, and made his way into the city. He had since learned to carry a police scanner, and he heard about a robbery at Daniel and Sons. He began to fly in that direction.

"Because by yourself you don't have the means to. Sure Hero here has done an impresive work at mantaining a certain form of peace in this city but she cannot be everywhere. Not to mention that I believe she has her hands full just dealing with the human scum that plague this city" Dorothy said while letting a little smile find it's way to her face.
"And more like us will make their way into this city, it's just a matter of time. If there is no established order then it's just an invitation for them to do whatever they wish to the humans living here. I believe you would find that inconvenient"
"One." said Apocalypse. "Mistake number one: You didn't sneak up on me when you probably could have. Also you don't have mind control like Michael. You'll never be as scary to me as he was." he threw several small bombs, each about the size of an orange, onto the ground. They had thin spokes like on a bike. He coughed. The bombs came to life, using the spokes to spring forward and attempt to attach to One's leg.

((Calling bullshit once more. Since Apocalypse just started running, he wouldn't be so close to his manhole cover that he'd be able to do that. Besides, if the explosives sprang from "off the ground", that would imply they were out in the open and from the tone of your post, were always there as a precaution. Thing is, PEOPLE WOULD'VE NOTICED BOMBS PLACED AROUND A MANHOLE COVER AND DONE SOME SHIT ABOUT IT.
So yeah. Retcon. Because so tired of your bullshit. So tired of it.))
The detective finished up his coffee and paid his waitress a bit of tip before heading out, hopping into his car and driving around the city.
"And what kind of established order are you trying to propose?" Doll asked bluntly.
Muse packed the cash and valuables into the unlimited storage container the Thespian gave her a week ago and got on her bike, driving off without noticing the flying superhero right above her.
Sheathe yawned and looked down at the city from the rooftops. Let's see... which way was that bank again...
She then hopped along the rooftops and made her way across the city.
Stretching her arms, the still unconscious Ellen rolled off her couch, floating in the air for a brief moment with her blanket. After a few seconds, she abruptly fell down, waking her up.
"Oof!"
"Oh it's far more simple than you would believe it"
"First... yes, it's fitting for the person with the best claim to the city to be on top. To all the supernaturals that come to the city we'll let them know that it's Vigil's city and they should at least behave. If any of them goes out of line... then it would be the responsability of those that live in this order to enforce the rules"
You want to use me as the figurehead in your little scheme?
"It will be hardly any different from what you already do Miss Hero. You'll just have some degree of authority and support your dealings with the supernatural"
"And it will also give us all some much needed security in numbers"
"I'll help of course... and in exchange... I want the district in which I currently reside to be under my jurisdiction"

"Theatrical, over the top, exaggerated, not to be taken at face value but appreciated for its parody," Sheathe said bluntly. "And on that note, I think Wall Man is campier.
"...also, I only fought that vampire once. With Justice Man and a few other superheroes and supervillains. And I'm pretty sure all the civilians left due to the, y'know, large horde of undead minions. ...actually, the way you act reminds me of someone..."
Aria pulled Jeff away from the two superheroes and whispered to him, "Stop talking! You're going to make them suspicious!"
Ellen plopped down on her bed and yawned, turning on the TV. She didn't feel like going out anymore tonight.
"Ah. Well, if you're not hungry, I can eat the sandwiches for both of us," the detective jokingly offered, giving a friendly, goofy grin.
Doll looked over at Vigil. "...what do you think?" The expression on her face implied that she didn't trust the man but didn't see much choice.
"..." The Thespian managed to get away scot free from his thievery.
How disappointing. It appears you've decided that an encounter with One would be pointless at this time.
Pretty much. Aside from the two of you fighting, it wouldn't really establish or accomplish anything.
Mmm. Well, there is always next time.
Indeed.
