In fairness plenty of characters suddenly bullshit shit and then excuse it as an extension of their origin.
A recent example would be in Wonder Woman 1984 where Diana suddenly turns a jet invisible through a spell despite never previously showing a hint of such an ability at all. With the obvious justification that she’s the daughter of Zeus so that means she can bullshit magic.
And with Superman they can justify pretty much anything with his Kryptonian biology like that power he gained a couple years ago where he can unleash all the solar energy in his body like a bomb.
Then there’s Green Lantern who at times is able to time travel just by “willing it.”

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Which naturally leads to the other forces hopefully.
Someone’s gotta go hulk with the Strength Force.
Gods really could bs whatever they want yes. Like turning a woman into a man as recompense for getting raped by Poseidon. Diana’s really the easiest one to pull shit out of her ass cause divinity can do that.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Which can also be justified even with her clay construct origin since I recall she is also blessed by the Gods or something.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I mean, comics. Silver Age had people doing all sorts of random stuff with their powers out of nowhere, and that hasn't completely disappeared. I mean, look at the stuff Batman, with no powers, can pull off that he shouldn't.
But I do think the Speed Force makes it easy for that to get to ridiculous degrees.
My AO3Always nice to see Rocket and Zatanna, although their prominence surprises me considering their relative non-presence in season 2 and 3. Maybe it's a Revisiting the Roots story arc?
Also, maybe the top left planets are a nod to the Legion? I also saw someone speculate the red and yellow diamonds are setting up some sort of Klarion v. Fate plot.
We have 21 completed episodes and 5 in post production.

With DC Fandome around the corner on October 16, we'll know definitely.
So Martians huh ?
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."As the pre-season 4 radio play teased, we're FINALLY going to Mars. No brief flashbacks and no highly-doctored fantasies from M'gann.
Since this is an HBO Max thumbnail, it likely means the season premiere might be WAY closer than we'd expect.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Beast Boy appearing to get screentime is always welcome, I didn't expect him to have much but I suppose he's sort of an honorary martian in this continuity.
I wonder if we'll get the Super Sons this season.
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"So here's some analysis from a critic.

I agree with some points. The show does often feel like it's trying to fit too much into two little time, it does rely on side material overly much, and characters do sometimes regress (You'd think that after the mole thing with Kaldur and all the chaos that caused they'd be more open about the anti light.)
They think that M'Gann and Connor's relationship is Toxic and that the writers victim blame Connor and that the team doesn't really care for each other. I agree with some parts of it but I also think that the writer is overstating their case. M'Gann DOES stop using her mental powers on Connor because she realized how fucked it was.

If we do, I only pray they get to age naturally. (*death glares at Brian Michael Bendis and DC editorial*)
I'm not a fan of M'gann and Conner's relationship s2 onwards, but I've accepted that it's canon. Honestly the best written romance YJ did was Mal/Karen, others tend to fall flat somewhere along the way
My AO3How was Mal/Karen well-written? To me it always felt like they weren't given enough focus for me to be invested but just enough focus that their relationship issues felt annoying and intrusive when it came up.
I definitely do recall being annoyed by Mal bringing up relationship drama during a super-important mission.
I do like what we saw of them in Season 3, though.
Oh God! Natural light! That was a dick move....though I still found the line funny.
One Strip! One Strip!Announced at Fandome: the first two episodes of Phantoms are on HBO Max now!
Weisman also reaffirmed that Young Justice hasn't been renewed for Season 5...yet. Therefore, he encourages that fans keep watching the same way they revived the show in the first place.
Anyway, regarding M'gann's and Conner's relationship, while I get not liking it, I'm not seeing how the show victim-blamed him for... anything.
If the mindset is "even if M'gann did realize her mistakes and genuinely improve, the baggage of what she did still means she and Connor shouldn't be in a relationship" I can respect that. though I can also respect people who don't agree.
I'm sure for a lot of people, that probably would be the better option. But I'm also sure there are people who have been in that relationship and then went on to have strong ones with the same people. I don't know, as long as they're both consenting adults in sound mind I don't think there's much point in talking about absolutes with things like this.
The Anti Light kinda feels like Dick and the others haven't really learned from how badly the Mole Plan nearly went wrong.....at least as the person says. I can agree that the show tries to cram in too much at once and there's an overreliance on side materials.
The "victim blaming" comes from the fact that what M'Gann did (altering his memory) was rather fucked up and shouldn't have been done. Her keeping quiet about the anti light is being seized on as proof that she enjoys manipulating people.
Not sure how much of it I buy but I do think that it could have been better handled. In some ways I think those fans are bitter.
Anyway, anyone got HBO Max?
Have you checked out those first two eps?
Does this mean the season has officially started?
One Strip! One Strip!
That's ridicul....
<Remembers the latest season of The Flash, where Barry and Thawne created Speed force swords out of fucking nowhere>
.....ok. Fair enough.
One Strip! One Strip!
