I assume the tentacles there are made of darkness, but they don't have enough of a spotlight in the picture.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!They look more like ribbons and cloth than actually commanding darkness especially knowing the translation. I mean, the same sort of black ribbons decorate the arms of his robe.
