That is much better, and I agree. While obviously the hero has to have relevance, I hate that he always has to be the one to defeat every Big Bad, if the latter killed The Lancer's family and kidnapped his girlfriend, or if he is insanely powerful but The Big Guy's ability is particularly suited to fight him... let them.
^ You have a good point there.
Some of the other team members need A Day in the Limelight.
Heaven doesn't want me, and Hell's afraid I'll take over. You know, I always hated how, except for a few exceptions that can be counted with one hand, in the anime Sailor Moon herself was the only one who ever could finish the Monster of the Week up. Especially since it made the show even more repetitive than it already was.
Darn you, animators, would it have killed you to make a few other stock footage scenes for the other Senshi killing the monster?
See Rosario To Vampire as well. Inner Moka was way cool... until the tenth time she easily dispatched the monster (with that stupid bat remarking how little it took her) while the other girls were reduced to comedic filler.
What little I saw of the manga had Moka still ranking way above the other haremettes, though.
And I didn't like the manga's artstyle. Even flipping through the latest pages, while it has improved, there is still something oddly... plastic and lifeless about it.
The anime's artstyle was much better. A shame about the horrid plotting though.
And why the hell were May and Leon not fired the instant they set foot on Kaleido property?
Episode 12 of Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae. He just comforts the girl who almost jumped a bridge because her boyfriend was cheating on her with three other girls. He decides to send the girl's boyfriend to hell. Ai Enma does not accept the request. Why? Because he is the one who's going to hell? Sent there by who? The girl whose life he saved and comforted. Why? Because she thought that he would blab to the whole town, thus shaming her and lowering her social status.

My FF.net accountPretty Much anything that has a Flanderized Tsundere when there dosen't even need to be one IMHO pisses me off to no end.
Since when were you under the impression that I was Aizen?I should point out that the Flanderization term only applies to characters who suffer personality deviations born out of their starting traits' exaggeration.
Kirie, for instance, while highly unbearable as a character (pure looks-wise, she's about the best looking female in Girls Bravo), can't be really called Flanderized because, well, she really WAS that bitchy from the start. If anything, she softens down to something more tolerable levels.
She still never gets called out on it though. And YMMV, since I'd rather take Miharu home with me. :P
My FF.net accountMiharu is too much of a Shallow Love Interest.
Actually, my overall favorite of the girls was Lisa. It's kinda disturbing when a Rich Bitch with heavy Yandere tendences is the best option of the female cast.
She is shallow yes, but nevertheless, she's still a Yamato Nadeshiko. I'd still pick that over the Tsundere.
Actually, Fukuyama's existence is a Wallbanger pertaining to Real Life.
My FF.net accountPerfectly legitimate conflict of interest for the most part. Things do end up bring someone truly evil into the mix eventually, though. Anyway, I think you'll find that most people in real life aren't horrible monsters just because they happen to oppose you, so I don't really what the complaint is there.

Oh, you can find exceptions to any rule if you look hard enough. It's a rule without exception.
This is especially true when is applies to rules about exceptions to rules.
