I assumed that it was transferring the soul that was Dante's problem, not dealing with the soul already in the body. Admittedly, I don't remember any clear evidence for either interpretation.
Currently taking a break from the site. See my user page for more information.Really? All the evidence points to the contrary. Unless you're going by manga canon, anyway.
The reason why they used Lab 5 for all the government experiments, for example, was because they needed both test subjects and sacrifices. Alphonse gets the ability to transfer his soul into suits of armor in The Movie, but that was only after he'd used up the entire Stone on getting his body back and healing Edward.
Human chimeras are only partially successful unless they're done under the conditions of Lab 5, which implies that even that requires some kind of sacrifice.
And, again, they would have still had to create the synthetic body in the first place, which in anime canon was shown to be impossible without either the use of the Stone or an immense sacrifice.
So Yeah. I still don't see the plot hole.

I think there were some really great episodes after the Emperor arc, and I actually liked Arukenimon as a minor antagonist. For me, the real waste started after the defeat of Daemon. As far as I'm concerned, either Millenniummon or Dagomon should have turned out to be the Big Bad, and Oikawa should have just been a subplot. Meanwhile, Miyako and Iori should have been given more character development and screentime.

Also, Malo Myostismon looks like a fish the guy should had died in Season 1 and stayred that way.
Kenpachi vs. Nnoitra and Ichigo vs. Ulquoirra in Bleach. Every other fight in that series made at least some sense.
Ever since Ichigo vs. Kenpachi ended in a draw, Ichigo had taken two levels in badass to barely beat Grimmjow. When Nnoitra, who's just one rank higher than Grimmjow shows up, Kenpachi pulls a Big Damn Heroes for the worn out Ichigo. But does Kenpachi show up that he Took a Level in Badass by learning the name and abilities of his Shikai? No, instead he beats Nnoitra by using two hands.
Then there was the Ass Pull of Ichigo's Hollow form somehow getting more powerful. Aizen even lampshades this when he summarizes each fight Ichigo had and how they brought out latent powers that he used to win, but when Aizen gets to his last fight with Ulqoirra, Aizen just said that he "somehow" got more powerful.
^It's less of Ass Pull and more of something which hasn't been fully explained yet. Tousen pulling a Resureccion, which has several similar aspects, goes towards explaining it.
And you made a list of Bleach Wallbangers without including Yammy 0, which not only came completely out of nowhere, but is difficult to reconcile with his earlier interactions with Ulquiorra, and undermined most of the * characterization Yammy had. That knocks down your credibility quite a bit, in my eyes.

I can defend (or at least try to defend) just about every supposed Ass Pull in Bleach. The only exception: Yammy. Came out of freaking nowhere and had little to no importance to the plot.

I agree. Reading it as a stand alone issue actually had it make more sense than when I perused the entire series up to that point.
New User HandleI have similar feelings about Naruto and the Great Snake Escape.
Currently taking a break from the site. See my user page for more information.Oh yeah. K*SPAM's attitude towards Yammy 0 perfectly describes mine towards the Great Snake Escape. It was a complete and total Deus ex Machina to let Sasuke survive Deidara's final attack, and I won't let anyone say any different.
I want to write a shonen manga only so I can subvert the cliché'd tropes.
Oh well. While Ippos "HURR FIGHTING SPIRIT I WON'T GIVE UP" schtick is as annoying as it always is, at least he's also presented as a genuinely skilled boxer who really has an unfair amount of punching power. That, and he lost once.
Also, if the hero is constantly overpowered by a co-star or rival, fandom won't stop complaining about Boring Failure Hero.
I mean, just look at Naruto fans who hate Sasuke and how he overshadows the lead himself.
Kaiji begs to differ.

There is only a price to transfer a soul into a body if the soul is dead or the body already has a soul in it (in Dante's case). If the soul is living and transfering into an empty vessel it should satisfy Equivalent Exchange.
Anyway, my memory must be hazy. I forgot about the problems with Nina's body being stable, but I thought those mannequins were Majihal's synthetic bodies.
