Yep. Costs like 3 bucks (well here in Australia at least. It's probably less for other regions) on the DLC page last I checked.
Edit: Page topper. Lol.

Well due to Chinese New Year the shop hasn't got Nexus in yet since the shipping companies are also on holiday :V
Well, on the bright side, once you unlock the secret passages in the Giant's Ruins you've got all three types of gather points for the Primitive Jungle labyrinth just a short jog away from the entrance.
(the downside being, of course, you have to go through the Giant's Ruins in the first place)
I used a fire attack on zombie dragon and my entire party exploded??? what???
Explosive gas. Watch out for fire attacks.
Incidentally the conditional drop is to kill the zombie with the gas explosion.

Etrian Odyssey V really enjoys your suffering.
apparently the game just straight up doesn't tell you that it's active, or rather what its effect is.
I got like 75% through its health bar before dying to it using its own fire attack, which was especially annoying. acctually, i died because it used curse rain which cursed my party, which half of it proceeded to kill itself thanks to curse.
uuggggghhhh this boss is annoying. binding its head will solve a lot of my problems... but i don't have any binders on my party besides chain blast...
i'll just have to use chain blast a bit into the fight i guess.
The same fire explosion effect can occur on the path leading up to it, while you're fighting the ghosts. I'd imagine that's supposed to serve as a tutorial.
I killed all the ghosts in one turn, and used ice elements since they were weak to ice, so I actually never found out about it.
I was auto-battling them so I was shocked to find out that their fire attack had nearly wiped me for some reason.
Felled the Zombie Dragon! Wasn't so bad once it actually started getting hit by the ailments I was dishing out. Definitely helped that he didn't blow up my party right after cursing them this time around.
Forget getting that conditional drop. I only need it for... the strongest cannon in the game for my dragoon. fuck.
That's why they invented Formaldehyde.
thank god for that.
side note: god the sixth stratum sucks. so bad. the teleporters are frustrating to navigate and the enemies are all pains in the ass with like no health but stupid stupid lockdown abilities and dumb high attack.
verrryyy tempted to look up the maps so i can just run through the floors than dealing with how annoying they are.
Just pray that you don't get ambushed. You can have a party average of level 85 and still go down like a chump if you get ambushed in the sixth stratum.
That's the main reason I haven't finished EO V yet.
Hey, question. How does the map function in Nexus? Like I know you can draw it for yourself or have it done automatically but in the case of the latter does it draw it as you explore or are you given the entire map from the start? Never played a game in the series and have been kind of waiting on Nexus to jump in.

The auto map draws as you explore the dungeon. You can customise how much it does but at max settings it adds a patch on the ground for when you first step into a spot and draws what ever walls you bump into. Other markings such as collection points, FOE Spawns, doors, and shortcuts you have to add for your self. Or at least I think you have to add them. I haven't really played around much with the auto map setting.
Thankfully, drawing on your map is free action so you don't have to worry about being ambushed while you make your map look pretty.
I use auto-mapping and it works like you describe.

Please remake EO 3, thank you.
Quick question about Etrian Odyssey V; Can I transfer my Save Data in the Demo to the full game? I don't want to let go of the characters I made already.
Yes, I believe so. You definitely could in the demo for 4, anyway.
I played through the demo for V and yes, you can in fact transfer the data over to the full game.
/ Thank you.
