I'm smiling right now. Trust me, I will find something. You may not like it, though.

Oh good. I don't get the "-core" thing. Everything's "-core".

@Tzetze: Most people aren't happy with it. The "-core"s are the most hated genres, generally.

Polkacore is a fictional genre combining polka instrumentation with screamo vocals. Here's your Brain Bleach.

El, if you can work the drum pattern/guitar riff from ''Battles - SZ2'' into something, I will forever sing your praises. Kicks off around 5:45 in the track itself, and about 50 seconds into the youtube video. Good luck with the project!

Outside of the usual option of torrenting, no idea. Just find a torrent for EP C/B EP and it should be the first track of B EP (Which I think is disc one).

Edit: Ah, you found it already, never mind then.

In essence, yes. Except of course for Hadcore, which is screamo, i think...

Subgenres can get very confusing.

I can haz synth riff?

I've noticed. I'm only just learning the distinction between "baroque" and "classical" music.

Screamo is screamo. Nothing else. Screaming does not make something screamo. Post-hardcore is most often mistaken for screamo, which makes sense since the two are hardly distuinguishable. Also, how bad did I spell that? I can't remember how to spell it at the moment.

I know less than nothing about classical.

However, there is a thread somewhere down the list that links to a website that attempts to catalogue all the subgenres of Electronica.

IT'S BIG.

Lucky: Most people associate screamo with screaming, which is understandable by the name.

So essentially -core means "+ Wannabe Screamo".

Daze: I've seen that site. Too negative for me, but yeah, fucking huge.

Post-hardcore

You know, there's so much music by Bach that they gave up and used numbers. Maybe that should happen with subgenres, if they're going to have such worthless names.

But...no. Not ''Wanna be Screamo". It's nothing like Screamo. The "-core" generally does include screaming, but it also means faster rhythms and louder drums, among other things. Things you don't find in screamo.

No, they don't think they're screamo. Especially since it existed before Screamo.

Sorry, this is something of a Berserk Button for me.

Like I said, the "-core" means louder drums, more aggressive music in general, and yes, screaming.
