China changes Fight Club film ending so the authorities win
How insecure can you be about the bad guys winning that you would change the movie's ending to suit your needs when it goes against the movie's theme?
This reminds me of the time of when China ordered the Hong Kong crime movie Infernal Affairs have it's original ending changed where instead of the Triad mole within the police force escapes with his real identity still a secret, they changed it to the mole has his identity revealed and arrested along with the rest of the Triads which i find it very unrealistic.
Or the time the Indian version of Alexander had it's film running time cut short and ending the movie where Alexander gets shot by an arrow during his campaign in India where a text epilogue lied and claim Alexander died in that battle when in reality he lived. I suspect Indian Nationalist push for this ending since they don't like the idea they were almost conquer by Alexander.
It appears that another Hollywood auteur has spoken out against superhero movies.
Oh, wait, my mistake, it was Roland Emmerich.
My Disney 100th Anniversary MarathonY'know, I can understand what numerous other directors have said regarding superhero movies and why they're pushing negative movie trends and all...but I don't think Roland Emmerich should be one of those people complaining about it. He and Michael Bay were already the whipping boys of 90's and 2000's cinema for various reasons.
I think Roland Emmerich is definitely an old man shaking his fist at clouds here.
It's been 3000 years…ViacomCBS is adopting the name of its division Paramount.
Ladies and gentleman, Elvis has left entered the building!
As the title of the video suggests, this is coming to us via Baz Luhrmann, with Austin Butler as the King of Rock n Roll himself and Tom Hanks as his dodgy manager!

This is the movie Tom Hanks caught COVID during, isn't it?
My Disney 100th Anniversary MarathonAccording to Google, this is indeed the movie set where Tom Hanks contracted COVID from.

It's been 3000 years…Honestly, as someone whose hot and cold with Luhrman's stuff, he does seem like an oddly appropriate fit for this kind of biopic.
Still waiting for a Legion of Losers movie...Harry Potter, more like Hairy Potter.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.Where will you be when disaster strikes?
Yeah, if the Cliff Beasts 6 title and the April 1 release date have you thinking "huh, this reads like an April Fools' Day gag," join the club. Actually, this looks to be a real trailer for a fake movie for Judd Apatow's The Bubble, a movie about actors being stuck in a movie set during the pandemic. And the movie set is for this specific fake dinosaur movie.

Bump.
Heyo! Turns out that, yeah, was a real trailer for a fake movie for this real movie: The Bubble
Laconic: A film crew try to make a high-budgeted dinosaur movie during a pandemic. Chaos ensues.
BUT! That's not important anymore.
What I actually bumped this thread for is THIS!
In 2014, LEGO began their Ideas line (then called Cuusoo) with a minifigure-scaled set of the DeLorean from Back to the Future. It was...fine?
Eight years later however, LEGO is coming up with a redo of the DeLorean, but BIGGER and BETTER!
- This time around, it's a 3-in-1 set! That's right, you'll have pieces to build the DeLorean as it appeared in Part I with the lightning conductor, the flying car version from Part II with the mini-fusion reactor, and when it had a tray of electric parts to take Marty to the Wild West in Part III!
- It's not minifigure-scaled, but you still get mini-figs of Marty and Doc, this time wearing their outfits from Part II.
So the set photos from ''Renfield'' are out, and imagine this, Nicolas Cage as Dracula looks like Bela Lugosi in a magenta velour suit.
I'm at a loss for words.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisI believe it's supposed to be a comedy, so him looking goofy does make sense.
It's been 3000 years…Yeah the movie's about Nick Hoult falling in love with Awkwafina in a modern setting, it's definitely a comedy.
That being said, Hoult is a perfect fit for darker rom-coms. The cast alone makes this movie sound great-Ben Schwartz, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and of course Nic Cage.
So I finally decided to sit down and watch the first Godfather movie.
I really liked it. I knew some of the plot beats going in just from general pop-cultural osmosis, but actually watching it, it's still a great film. A violent family drama with Al Pacino giving a great performance (honestly it's weird watching him here versus his recent roles), with great characters, great score, great direction...I guess my only complaint is that I thought Talia Shire as Connie was kind of annoying. Probably my greatest surprise was that, despite being such an iconic character, Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone isn't actually in that much of the movie. He's in it a fair bit, don't get me wrong, but he's very obviously not the main character.
I need to watch The Godfather movies too, there's a trilogy too,in a way I'm reminded of how it was successful as Lord of The Rings'a triolgy in its day
this music plays whenever I post also a boxA bit of a warning, Part 3 is a noticeable dip in quality compared to 1 and 2. Not unwatchable by any means, but definitely not up to the high standards of the other two.
It's been 3000 years…Uh, I don't know if this is the thread for this, or if there is a more appropriate thread for it in like On-Topic or whatever, but Bruce Willis will retire from acting due to being afflicted with aphasia.
I'm not a movie buff, but I was still a bit floored to hear this.
My AO3 profile. Let sleeping cats lie and be cute and calming. There's been mutterings for a few months that Bruce Willis had gotten some sort of degenerative disease due to how his roles have gotten worse over time, so I suppose I'm glad it wasn't dementia or something like that.
It's been 3000 years…I finally watched The Godfather Part II.
I actually liked it a little better than the first one. I'm also surprised that it didn't really feel as long as it was. It's a very well-paced movie.
According to Empire, Wicked is getting a Movie Multipack treatment. From the film's director Jon M. Chu:
I could see that if they were adapting the book(s), but the musical is 2 and a half hours with a 15 minute intermission. That's kinda long for a movie but not that long, and if they needed to split it why not just have an intermission like Oliver the movie?
The Protomen enhanced my life.
Yeah, outside of Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe's filmography is very wild.
It's been 3000 years…
