It also further confirms Lucifer himself has achieved Emlightenment and become a Buddha as well. Buddhas of higher realms don’t interfere directly and he is only able to commune with the lower realm via his voice, and if they wish interfere directly they take physical form, ala Marici in said quest and Goko.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession."Lucifer became a Buddha" is such a strange sentence to read, but also kinda fascinating. The stuff you can get from a Crossover Cosmology of fundamentally different religions.
I checked. It is a real word. It means possessing both good and evil qualities. So yeah. A fair description of IV Mastema.
One Strip! One Strip! Also the Marici quest in Japanese makes it a bit more obvious that Lucifer realized the Union of Divine and Human creates greater potential than the original Nahobinos who were just Gods.
All very Gnosticism of them since this is clearly the intent with the emphasis on Serpents in VV.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. For everyone upset why Samael didn't have a bigger role in SMTV:V despite his connection to the Qadištu, he outright says in a Demon Haunt that he got castrated by God, which is why Lilith left him. I was kind of shocked the game went there, but it outright said it in the Treatise on the Left Emanation, so it's not something the game developers just made up.
Still kind of amazed they went there.
For those on the fence for getting the game, yesterday saw the release of a Demo for Vengeance for Steam and PS 5. Atlus was incentivized by the success of Metaphors demo it feels like, and released it at a time when a number of people are likely finished with Metaphor as well.
Just be warned those who have the game, the Demos save data will overwrite save data if you decide to try the demo after already having the full version.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Considering that Marici is a DLC boss in Shin Megami Tensei V and they were aligned with the Divine Powers in Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse, I wonder if we'll eventually get to see Krishna again.
"Punishment is not the answer. Punishment is easy. It's lazy. Redemption is hard. Redemption makes you work."-Skulduggery PleasantI'm determined to finish Vanilla myself, simply because I want to finish what I have before I jump to something else.
I also downloaded Vanilla, so I feel like I need to actual finish it and make that money spent worth it.
I've been having a lot of difficulty finishing the SMT games I get my hands on, but I also end up buying them much later than I planned, and also sometimes get interrupted for a long time before I can sit down to them again.
One Strip! One Strip! If they were to add more people to the General/Famed/Hero race(s) in future games, who do you think would be some good or interesting picks? There's oodles of national heroes to choose from, like Hattori Hanzō for Japan, Cyrus the Great for Iran, Yi Sun-sin for Korea, Skanderbeg for Albania, Vlad the Impaler for Romania, etc.
I personally would like to see Tomoe Gozen as a demon. I know she's already a Persona, so I'd love to see a demon version of her, much like how we got a demon version of Konohana Sakuya in Shin Megami Tensei V.
"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."I'll throw out Alexander the Great, Ramses II, any number of Romance of the Three Kingdoms figures like Cao Cao and Zhuge Liang, and Boudica.
I feel like these guys are more likely to show up in a Persona game, though.
I don't think he'd be a Famed/War God, but I'm kind of surprised that Erlang Shen has yet to be depicted in the franchise either.

My Megaman and MegaTen RPG LiveblogsWhat surprises me is that Gilgamesh is a demon in the series, but only in the Devil Children games. I always thought it's odd that one of the oldest known mythological heroes hasn't shown up in a mainline Shin Megami Tensei game yet...

Washington will no doubt be supported by the Goddess of America
.
For better or for worse, Atlus has tended to shy away from some of the more obvious inclusions. Like look at Herakles/Hercules
. Despite being arguably the most famous mythological character of all time, he's appeared exactly once in SMTII and he looks like some kind of Frankenstein reject.
Considering his race in II is "Demonoid," I'm guessing that particular Heracles is an artificially made demon and not the "actual" Greek hero. Funnily enough, he shares the same race as Frankenstein's monster in that game, so "Frankenstein reject" probably isn't too far off the mark.

"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."

I saw a few screenshots on Reddit concerning the quest involving Marici, and it looks like (no major spoilers, but spoilering just in case people here want to go in completely blind) Goko is given some more screentime. Which is fitting, given Goko's true identity and Marici coming from Buddhism.
