"You think those guys will be fine in that world they're in?"
Durant asked Michael, drinking a can of Diet Coke.
"Sure they will. I mean we didn't see them kick butt in the previous ones, but they came out okay." The G4 Trainer insisted.
They both eyed the Black Stig and wondered if he was going to get something to eat or drink.
"Ah. So, a sacred blade then. Like the Master Sword I wield."
Drawing the blade from its sheath, he balanced it in his hand, even after all this time marveling at its perfect balance and craftsmanship.
"This sword -" he held it up in the light, "was crafted by the Sages of old. It was made to repel evil, and its blade cannot be dulled or broken."
He placed it back into its sheath.
"I was forced to take up this blade to defeat Ganondorf, and I did intend to put it back where I found it once I returned, but - "
His lips curved into a wry smile.
"It looks like I'll have to hold onto it for a while."
Then, his expression hardened, and the smile disappeared from his face.
"And yet, I wish it were not so..."
"Under my hand, the Master Sword has tasted the blood of many living beings - not Hylians, but with a right to live nonetheless."
There was deep sorrow in his eyes.
"The goddess Farore chose me to be the Champion of Courage, saviour of Hyrule... when all I wanted was a quiet life. Zelda tried to give me back that life..."
He looked down at his hands, as if they held something unfathomably deep and incomprehensibly tragic.
"Then I found myself here. Doomed to kill, to slay more... and more...."
"Do you understand me?"
The question was directed at no-one in particular. He began pacing agitatedly, brow furrowed, each additional step clearly frustrating him more and more.
Then he stopped.
His eyes had regained that steely glint.
"But that shall not be. Not another being shall die by my hand. My hands shall never again taste death -"
"Not while I still draw breath."

But then searching his memories of what the Doctor had shown him, he began to understand.
"I see."
"It seems that you and I are of the same stock...."
"Thrown into circumstances that we could not expect, yet still bearing the consequences..."
"Struggling with our moralities the whole while."
He sighed.
"That is a really bad idea." Naoto said, narrowing her eyes as she returned fire to the Shadow.
The bone-bullets didn't do much individually, but the constant barrage was getting annoying to it. Narumi fired for the crotch, but it did not have the intended effect. apparently these things do not breed like humans. It stepped back from the red vomit and kicked out at Dex-Starr. Natsu caught it in the shoulder, causing it to fall to one knee and roar in pain. It grabbed the fire-breathing boy and was about to lay into him when it got slashed by the lightsaber. It back-handed Galen away and turned to resume beating Natsu.
Naoto bit her lip and tried to think fast. She ran forward and summoned her Persona. It laid into the Shadow with attacks from its laser sword. It stumbled back slightly and dropped Natsu. Naoto felt herself growing weaker with each attack, but she still pressed on. The Shadow found its self against the ropes and still under attack. It roared and lashed out, grabbing Naoto by the head. She let out a surprised shout before it started to slam her face into the mat over and over.
Immediately Kimimaro sprang forward, bone blade at the ready and brimming with channeled chakra. He flash-stepped in, stabbing hard into the wrist of the hand holding Naoto. He took advantage of the monster's brief lapse in grip to pull Naoto free, flash-stepping over to the unconscious Rey with Naoto in his arms. He sat her down on the seat next to the unconscious luchador.
"Daijouba ka, Naoto-san?" he asked her. "How many fingers am I holding up?" Three

Galen snatched his lightsaber back with the Force, re-igniting it and charging the Shadow, going through a Juyo
kata.
