A werewolf shrugged at Eddie in a jovial manner. "Aw, that's okay; they'll come around."
The Danse Macabre CodexA squat, roughly conical figure dressed in a suit several sizes too big for his short frame stood atop a podium, megaphone in hand and a ridiculously thin top hat perched precariously on the top of his head. Ravage blinked as he saw that this man—an official of some sort, to be sure—had two faces on his head; the one presently on display seemed cheery and amicable.
"IN THIS TOWN, don't we love it now! Everybody's waiting for the next surprise!"
"Down that cornerbend, hiding in the trash can, something's waiting for the time to pounce and—"
"SCREAM!" shrieked a beast as it burst out of the trashcan.

The Danse Macabre Codex"Yes, scream!" said the tentacled monstrosity.
"This is Halloween!" the werewolf from a moment ago chimed in.
"Red and black just like a grave."
"Aren't you scared?"
The Danse Macabre CodexHahli watched with interest as the various ghouls and beasts sang this song. She was still confused by this so-called 'celebration', however- why would anyone enjoy being frightened so? However, she noted, the creatures themselves, despite their frightening appearance, seemed to be relatively friendly and kind.
Formerly known as Crow T. Robot."..."
He looked around.
"Is it over? Please tell me it's over."

Jagged Alliance 2 LP (Redux) (Closed!)The same two witches from before began to fly in extremely tight circles around the group, giving them an excellent view of their enormous noses and boils.
"Say it once, say it twice!
Take a chance and roll the dice!
Ride with the moon in the dead of night!"
At this point the tree chimed in again, looming over Eddie in a menacing manner that was at odds with the playful grin on its face. "Everybody scream! Everybody scream!!!"
"In our town of Halloween," sang the skeletons as they jostled in its bows.
An obese clown, perched precariously atop a tiny unicycle, rolled up to Travis and stayed just out of the reach of his beam katana.
"I am the clown with the tear-away face!" he sang, and proceeded to demonstrate by ripping his own face clean off. Behind it was a yawning, pitch-black void that seemed as if it would suck up the otaku and leave him stranded in impenetrable darkness for all eternity. "Here in a flash and gone without a trace!"
Then the clown threw a smoke pellet onto the ground, and disappeared.
Ravage tensed as a voice on the wind whispered into his ears. "I am the Who in the call 'Who's there?' I am the wind blowing through your hair."

The Danse Macabre CodexFilling your dreams to the brim with fright! said an ominous-looking shadow on the moon as it leered down at them maliciously.
Ravage's head darted about as he continued to struggle, noting that they had reached the square at last. Their arrival coincided with a guillotine dropping onto a ripe pumpkin and splitting the vegetable open, spilling its seeds across a bloodstained headrest. The jaguar started as a fat, pale and clammy child popped out of the head basket and stared at the newcomers with a toothless grin and unblinking, compound eyes.
"Tender lovelings everywhere, life's no fun without a good scare!"
"That's our job—" "—But we're not mean," sang the boy's parents, both of whom looked as though they had escaped from a graveyard. "In our town of Halloween."

The Danse Macabre Codex"Uhh..." Kirby slowly stirred, having been sleeping in between the challenges. However, he quickly heard singing and smiled. Singing was fun, wasn't it?
However, Kirby failed to notice his new look,
◊ as he ran towards the town square.

"Seriously, you guys suck."
-to the townsfolk-
"Please excuse my companions, they can't appreciate the value of music."
