Jack was as much surprised as the others at the quick return, but he was glad of it.
"Whatever their reason," he said to the Common Room at large. "This is a blessing. And speaking of such matters, I believe we should all refuse the next challenge. They may simply transport us there anyway, but then again, they may not, for what use are champions who are not willing to fight? I would like to hear your thoughts on this."
A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent upon arriving. -Lao TzuBlink quickly scooped up the items(a few of which appeared to be gunlike, several of which were crystalline sculptures) and tucked them into her coat when Raz came over. "They're special things! I... err... I'm trying to decide which of them Miss Naoto and Miss Subaru would like
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Lux, back in her normal bodysuit and light armor, walked over to Jack. "I for one appreciate the chance to help these worlds. I would like to participate in as many as we can. Yes we may be simply pawns in a greater game, and it may be a game played for amusement, but who says the game is not for benevolent means?"
How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?Jack nodded to Lux.
"Your point is well taken, but if the Nomads were truly benevolent, they would not have kidnapped us from our homes. I will not say that a contest based upon cruelty cannot do good, but when the very foundation of the competition is evil, I very much doubt that it can do more good than evil. Furthermore, the Nomads are powerful enough to alter the fate of worlds on their own. Whatever we accomplish in the challenges has no other purpose than their amusement. If they wished to help us, they could do so by other means."
A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent upon arriving. -Lao TzuLux sighed and sat down next to Jack. This may take awhile.
"Would you allow me to relate the story of my homeworld? It may put this in a bit of perspective, or at least allow you to see it from my eyes."

How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?Kimimaro walked over, taking a seat in his chair and listening in.
Bendy Slendy in Upendi. Also, check out my fic"I suppose the reason I'm more willing to... trust these Nomads is because this situation is very similar to one where I lived. One I took part in. See the world I was from was devastated several times by dangerous far-reaching wars, and a large body of magic users came together to put an end to it. They collected the most powerful mages from the various factions and bound them in service, these became the Summoners. Also from each faction came Champions, I was one for my homeland of Demacia."
"They became the arbitrators of my world, all conflicts would be solved by their intervention. Summoners from a nation would call forth their Champions into a special arena, anchored and protected by the most powerful magic the world had seen."
Lux then waved her hand, vaguely indicating the room they found themselves in. "We each are champions from our homelands. Perhaps these Nomads are like cosmic Summoners, prevented from direct involvement due to the massive amounts of destruction they could possibly wreak, if their ability to send us willy-nilly is any indication of their vast power. We are the Champions they select to settle the disputes of our homeworlds and others in their stead."
She looked at some of the older champions, those who had directly interacted with the Nomads. "Some here feel them to be an obtuse, pushy lot. They may be ill-tempered yes, but we do not know their overall motives, and it has been true that we have been sent places to fix things. Though our first impressions were poor, look upon our overall goals. Were they not admirable?"

How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?"You know," said Sub-Zero, "that is Not So Different from my home realm. May I tell you of it?"
J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!Lux first looked at Mason, "I was led to believe the people of your world enjoy heightened expressions of violence. At least from your typical behavior."
She then turned her attention to Sub-Zero and nodded. "It would be nice to hear variations on the design, perhaps it could shed light on our current situation."

"Asshole." He mumbled before walking over to Blink. "What'cha got there?"
"You have more than enough potential. So tell me what is the one wish that would make your soul gem shine." -Mitt Romney, probably
