Kimimaro caught a still-weary Vortigaunt as it started to stumble, and helped it over to a place to sit down until it had recovered a bit.
"We thank you for the information you have given us" he said to the aliens, bowing slightly.
Bendy Slendy in Upendi. Also, check out my ficThe final Vort freed, they assembled at the door at the end of the room. Green energies crackled around them, looking like bolts of lightining conjuring from the ground itself. There was a crack of energy as the all fired at once, blasting the door off its hinges and opening the way for the champions.
One of the vorts turned to them. "Paths... part... Know... of... the... ones... who... disturb... you... lines... may... cords... cross..."
With that, the vortigaunts exacted through the newly opened door and quickly vanished from sight.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."'Interesting power' Kimimaro thought as he watched the Vortigaunts work. 'It wasn't chakra; it felt like something drawn in from without and channeled through the body. Like senjutsu, but not. Curiouser and curioser...'

"So where do we go now?" he asked Gordon.

Kimimaro was again absent-mindedly poking things (but not any of the Challengers) with his bone-blade, which had survived being chucked into/through a turret unscathed. Kimimaro kept quiet about it, but he despised just sitting and doing nothing - those weeks of being bedridden before his first life's final battle had been torture for the teen.

Bendy Slendy in Upendi. Also, check out my fic"Alright, we can't stay here too long," Gordon said, cocking his shotgun and peering around the corner. "Let's move out."
With that, he continued to move off down the halls. There seemed to be little resistance so far... which did not bode well for the areas closer to the core. The next hallway was long, long and empty. The door at the end looked somewhat imposing, but Gordon continue towards it.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Yuuka proceeded, parasol open and spinning over her shoulder.
"Nah, just... long empty hallway before a door doesn't inspire confidence, you know? But we're going through all the same," said Gordon, before passing through the door and entering... a completely empty room. It was large and appeared to have... some kind of purpose. Maybe to house a special kind of synth.
Wary, Gordon looked up. His suspicions were immediatly confirmed.
"Holy fuck!"
The... huge thing that dropped from the cieling looked like a strider's big, steroid-abusing brother. It was half as tall as the vast room it was within, putting it at least at around ninety feet. There were thick armor plates covering each massive leg, connected by barely visible membranes. Its massive body was encrusted with pulse cannons and what appeared to be missle launchers. Several eyes adorned its front, and each of its three legs was tipped in a large spine.
"Son of a bitch... kill it!" Gordon shouted, shouldering his rocket launcher as the huge synth let out a bellow, firing its cannons.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Jack's eyes narrowed as he sized up the creature. It looked as though it would be hard to bring down, but it could be done. He didn't know where its brain was located, so the best option was dismemberment followed by getting it to attack itself. He charged at the enemy, zig-zagging right and left to throw off any gunfire before making a flying leap for one of its legs, his sword ready to act as a handhold. If the guns couldn't fire on the creature itself, he would be safe.

The vort Rey had freed moved to stand with its companions, leaving a final vort in a tube.
