"Red, rarified rings of Rigel!" Rav cursed. "Rest assured that we shall run down the ruffian runners and reclaim their ill-gotten funds, commissioner, of that you've no need to ruminate."

The Danse Macabre CodexRey simply hopped up onto the hood of the nearest police cruiser and sat down, listening to the conversations around him. It seemed every time he heard any of the others...especially Ravage...speak, he just grinned wider and wider.

Easing back into life one step at a time
The Chew Toy of Gaming
Gray stood there digesting the information Mayor Lee gave him. He then said, THANK YOU, MAYOR STAN! NOW, TO PRESERVE THE JUSTICE OF OUR CULTURE, WE SHALL RID OUR FAIR CITY OF THE EVIL THAT IS... MR. JELLYBEAN! OR SOMETHING ALONG THOSE LINES."
Gray then rushed to the hangar that stored his personal hovercycle, The Silver SCREAMER!!! He got on, prepared his Silver Age weaponry, then burst off toward the FIRST National Bank of New Kirbyville!!!!
Or, he WOULD have, if The Silver SCREAMER!!! had fuel.
Gray then walked back to the Common Room of the TOWER OF TRUTH!!!

Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle. As Galen finished assembling his weapon, concluding his lesson, Lux started to dismantle one of the ones she had conjured. The way the internals were organized was different, as was the external casing, but the design itself was the same. She arranged the components on the ground before her in a manner which reflected their positioning inside the case. The second one she put away, to work on later.
She and Galen had escaped the notice of the disco-drivers by way of being completely silent; all those that complained or made notice of the strange people were forced onto a track. Galen didn't even seem to notice, and Lux simply glanced to see what was happening and returned to her work. It seemed they got off on good behavior. This gave them more time to continue their work.
Asking Galen a question here or there as she worked, Lux finally got one of the Imperial sabers apart and organized. She felt she had a good feel as to how everything was connected and worked together. She brought out her focusing staff and laid it on the ground next to the saber, so that the saber was lined up with one end. Carefully she removed the gold detailing, which served as a focusing mesh of sorts, off the end of the rod, extinguishing the small light that occupied its center. The inside of the rod was hollow, and this was where she started mounting the components. Using the rubber mesh that made up the handgrip of the lightsaber as a stopper of sorts, she carefully placed the power cell inside, far enough down the staff's length that it almost occupied the center of gravity. The tiny colored tethers connecting some parts to others were long enough that they could make it from the center of the staff to the end when completely uncoiled, Lux was sure that they were somehow important but did not know what the wires did. Careful to not disconnect them, she started arranging the components inside the end of the hollow tube, making sure every so often to compare her progress to the indentations on the inside of the old chassis to make sure she was positioning them correctly.
There were two primary crystals inside the device, Lux found. She was in possession of three. She took them out and laid them on the ground, unsure how she was going to go about this; she was one short of what she was planning on doing. From Galen's answers to her occasional questions there was a power crystal and a color crystal, the first generated some form of energy and the latter focused it to a usable state, at the same time coloring the blade. This was why his was red, while the color crystal before her was a colorless gray construct.
One of the three Natsu had provided her was imbued with his own power. Lux saw Galen's blade seemed to burn things, she thought it logical Natsu's fire crystal could serve as some sort of a power source. The crystal would not fit easily, she ended up removing the mounting brackets for the power crystal to fit Natsu's in, but she used small strips of the handle not used as a stopper to secure it in place. Thankfully the discrepancy was with width and not length, it did not offset spacing of other components too badly.
The color crystal would obviously have to be one of hers. She created a small beam of light and passed the synthetic gray crystal through it, observing and feeling how the light affected it. She did the same to one of Natsu's 'blanks', then concentrating on it, she began to subtly alter the crystal's optical properties until it behaved similarly to that of the crystal that came out of the saber hilt. The resulting crystal had a slight yellow-green tint to it, and to Lux's surprise, she could sense the crystal's presence the same way she could sense light. It seemed that by using her pwoer to change the crystal, it had naturally absorbed some of her magic. Lux supposed it would then be easy to store her energy in it; it just required she focus on it, meditate on it.
She carefully placed this crystal where the color crystal was before. Again width was an issue, she discarded the mounting brackets for this crystal and used the same method she had before. As she came nearer to completing the re-assembly, she realized she did not provide enough length in the device; the size of the replacement crystals had limited the placement of other components which would normally be alongside them. The emitter shroud was left outside the device, she was unsure how she would mount it to the staff. She took the gold piece she had set aside, the end cap. It normally connected to a gold bar that wrapped around the staff itself until it met a gold connector piece in the handle, which another piece wrapped around to secure the opposite end cap. This piece extended a small amount off the end of the hollow rod, about half-again the length of the emitter shroud.
Perhaps now was the time to put the room's conjuring abilities to the test. Lux imagined this piece with an emitter shroud attached to it, instead of the simple device that held the end cap. She imagined it very clearly, she imagined it was in fact right in front of her on the ground. And it was. It in fact had been before she started to put a lot of effort into it, but her eyes were closed as she visualized the hardware. She removed the old bar wrap and put the new one in it's place, with the emitter shroud still there. The shroud had a structure that was not visually, but functionally, similar to the original endcap, and hovering just off the projection mount was a small point of light, very similar to the one floating in the middle of the focusing structure on the opposite end.
Holding the rod in her combat-ready position, she flipped the newly built end experimentally. A small burst of light shot out and hit the wall she was looking at. It didn't feel quite the same, like there was a bit of resistance, but the effect was the same as if she used the good end. She surmised she wouldn't be able to use her more specialized moves using this end, she'd need to use the unaffected end of the rod to launch those, but her damaging moves could be sourced from here with no problem.
On the bar was also an activation switch similar to that of the saber she had dismantled. Cautiously pointing the modified end away from her, she thumbed the switch. An energy blade emerged, though it looked significantly different than Galen's lightsaber. At the blades core, it was somewhat like Galen's, starting out white slightly tinted red, but as the energy approached the exterior 'shroud' of the blade, instead of being a deeper, bright red like Galen's which ultimately gave the blade it's color, the energy on Lux's blade progressed through the spectrum through orange and yellow, just fringing green on the very edges. This gave the blade a yellow-orange appearance, with flickers of light green thrown in as she swung it. At its base the blade was not as thin as Marek's, if one looked closely they would be able to see the small point of light was still present at the base of the blade, now shining extremely brightly and tinted blue, unlike the subdued white point on the other end. The energy seemed sourced from this, creating a small sphere of energy around it, from which the straight energy blade projected up from.
Lux found she could sense the blade's presence as she could sense the presence of light, this was the effect she was aiming for when she used the magic crystals. The more she focused on her crystal inside the construct, the more she could sense the blade. She was disappointed however that such focus did not seem to make the blade more powerful. The sense did however make using the weapon easier; as she had suspected the blade added no weight, but she was alarmed that it made wielding the weapon more difficult to predict; she was fortunate her staff weighed considerably more than a lightsaber hilt, and was therefore more analogous to weapons she had experience in using.
She deactivated the blade, and thanked Galen. Nearby a silver portal had formed near some more newcomers, and the champions were already filing through it. With the emitter shroud structure in place, the construct was secured, and the weight of the device now built into the staff was only a little more than the heavy end cap that had previously occupied the space. The balance was not too far off, and Lux was satisfied the entire thing was functional. Now she finally had a means of defending herself in hand-to-hand combat.
Lux quietly followed the others through the portal.
Coming out the other side, she was absolutely astonished to find she was no longer wearing armor! Superheroes don't NEED armor! They have the protection of the righteous, Luxanna foremost! She was a paragon of Demacia, the LADY OF LUMINOSITY! The honor of Demacia, emblazoned across the chest of her typical navy bodysuit was all the armor she needed!
Of course, without it Lux felt scandalized. Near-naked even. The skintight bodysuit she wore under her armor was in no way altered except by the addition of Demacia's emblem in it's typical pale gold, but without her armor she wanted to cover her breasts. She felt indecent.
Of course, in the Silverrealm, the COMICS CODE protected her decency for her! This knowledge seeped into her mind, allaying her fears, allowing her to more effectively fight INJUSTICE, as every true Demacian should!.
But what is this? It seems the SILVER SENTINELS had started to fight crime without her! The infamous DOCTOR WALRUS was already cuffed and headed to jail, the true home of all criminals! She had to join the Sentinels post-haste!
A set of gold rings descended around Lux, with a gold beam centered on her person reaching up into the sky. Lux barely had time to wonder who, exactly, was offering her this teleport when suddenly...
ZWOOSH!
She was standing beside Spriggan inside a mildly damaged structure.
"My good friend Spriggan, what goes on around here?"

How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?
The Chew Toy of Gaming
Suddenly, a thought struck Gray in the face. WHAP
There's almost always a crime SPREE, not just one! the thought said.
Instantly, Gray rushed to The Silver SCREAMER!!!, refueled it, and hurtled toward the bank, eaing a sandwich the entire way.
Gray noted, YES! YES! THIS IS DELICIOUS!!!

Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.

Naoto just floated in the air now that they were done and said "Now that hes done we should probably be on our way. Other crimes to stop and you know the drill."
