The Doctor sighs. "I may be just as experienced in war as you are. However I know that every person is important. Every creature in the universe was created for a purpose! No one is just a mistake or a error! And just replacing the gear might not be the issue. What if that gear thinks just slightly differently from the old one? While the old gear would have come up with the idea to save all of you Kin the new one wouldn't! "
"No worries, I'm a walking cookfire." Natsu joked. He then went back to the scroll, which was filled with all sorts of runes and magical formulas. His head hurting, he rolled up the scroll and stowed it away, wincing from all the words that was written in it.
Always be ready to do the unusual and unexpected.Rey winced at Gordon's comment. "Oh goody, a resonance cascade. That's...that's terrific. We could totally use one of those."
Easing back into life one step at a time"Hope you guys don't mind if I eat first. Last meal I had was lunch."
Spriggan sat down and took off his slinged G36K on the table before placing its selector on safe. Likewise, he removed the holstered sawed off Norinco YL-1887L shotgun and placed it next to the assault rifle before he took off his beret and balaclava, revealing his teenage East Asian looks.
Dis Baba's eyes narrowed. "Every creature in the universe is important, Doctor? Does that include the beings who wiped out most of your race—which, I might add, you wound up destroying in an effort to avenge their extinction—and all others who would inflict such slaughter on such a massive scale? Is a violent beast that kills only for the sake of killing rather than the need to feed or keep a rapidly-reproducing prey species in check as important as the crecheschool full of innocent protolarvae which lies in its path? Should I allow such a murderous beast to smash its way in, rampage through the halls, and massacre all the bright new minds this generation had to offer, for no other reason than because it is good at killing and enjoys doing so? Now imagine if this beast was their instructor, suddenly gone mad and embarking on a killing spree. Do I capture the maverick at considerable cost to time, resources and lives, and attempt to rehabilitate him in the hope that he will return to his assigned task without incident? Or do I do the sensible thing, and execute him before he can put other protolarvae at risk, while allowing an instructor of a more sound mind to replace him?"

The Danse Macabre Codex"But there's still the fact that we'd need multiple people to support it at once without exhaustion or possible death," Gordon replied. "Alternetively, we could use something that has a great deal of RT Es in it. Err... Resonant Transference Energies. It's what causes teleportation."

Blink looked a bit dismayed. She wasn't too happy to learn that one of the new people thought she should be shot for stealing.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."The Doctor growls. "That's a extremely rare situation! Do you know of the size of the universe!? That's a chance of 1 in a billion at most! And you know what? Daleks had all emotions except hate forcibly removed from them! If that wouldn't happen the war wouldn't have happened! I've met Daleks with emotions! They have just the same chance of being good people as anyone else!"
"Well, you don't deserve to be shot. You're a good girl, and you just do a few slightly questionable things. Hell, I do more than a few slightly questionable things myself. If people deserved to be shot for that, no one would still be alive."

Easing back into life one step at a time"Well, we could produce a source of these energies," Gordon replied. "Possibly by using the room itself to generate an object that fits that description. However, I have a feeling that the nomads wouldn't be inclined to let us keep that. Maybe we could use something already on hand, something that produces the energy needed for teleportation... maybe we could make something that would work out of parts we have already?"
Gordon looked quite thoughtful.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Rey chuckled. "After all, back home, I've been known to steal cars on the side."

"Well... from this data, it doesn't appear to put any actual strain on those being teleported," Gordon replied. "However, it's likely prolonged exposure would result in exhaustion, and surely eventual death. In addition to that, it might overload the portal and cause a resonance cascade event."
