A better picture would be someone with fangs large enough that we can clearly tell they're supposed to be the focus. Here they're so tiny we can barely even see them.

See you in the discussion pages.

I still think the previous image of Karin worked best.

[up]I agree, there was really nothing wrong with that picture.

They probably changed it thinking it was JAFAAC, even though that trope doesn't always apply when it's specifically a facial feature being shown, such as teeth, hair, eyes, emotions, etc. In Karin's case, it was a picture of her fangs deliberately being shown, in a way that even Karin is being reminded that she has them.

Yeah, as much as I prefer looking at the cat, the previous image was more indicative of the trope. I'd be open to looking at other suggestions as well. Current and Previous:

The fact that this trope is about people who have fangs not full animals means that cat image has to go.

I think we can do better than the old image though. Like a full frame of someone's face with the fangs visible (or the old image bigger and cut)

I will have to look later for one (maybe Kotaro or Eva from Negima or what's her face from haruhi)

Here's Shippo from InuYasha [1] and Tsuruya from Suzumiya Haruhi [2]. I'll try to find more.

EDIT: Midna from Twilight Princess [3]

Tsuruya has a pretty noticeable fang... I think she was supposed to have two though, if you can find one where both are noticeable that would be better.

I guess I must have been thinking of a different Karin picture than the one it used to be. Either way, I still want it back. :p

Tsuruya is good. If no other pics of this quality showing a character with both fangs show up, this will be my replacement pic of choice.

Either the Karin or Tsuruya images would work fine.

Karin has two fangs, but in that pic they are not as noticeable as the fang in the Tsuruya pic...

I'm liking Shippo from Inu Yasha, can someone scale it down to the proper size to see if it will read well?

I think Shippo works best. I think there was a cute little Dracula in Dr. McNinja, but I can't find him.

Edit— here, but his fangs aren't as obvious as the other pictures suggested.

Bumping this...the Karin pic was switched to the current Tsuruya pic back in November with no discussion. Should we stick with that one or go with one of the suggestions?

I think the Cute Li'l Dracula picture is perfect, myself. The fangs aren't any harder to see than the other examples, and he's extremely cute.

[up] According to the description, the trope "Does not normally apply to Western-style vampires"

Honestly, anything more prominent than the current one would miss the point of the trope, that is about realistically pointy teeth as a mildly unusual sign of beauty.

[up] I know I've seen better quality images of that one that would show it better, but currently it looks a bit more like a jpg artefact than a fang.
