Wordplay? Is that like where you go to literary conventions dressed as "defenestration" or "qat"?
It Just Bugs MeIt took me forever to get The Phantom Tollbooth pun when I first read it.
...
Some of my favorites from various sources, mostly anonymous:
- A pun is the shortest distance between two straight lines.
- Murder most fowl! Not all of them. Just most.
- NONE SHALL PASS! Do you look like a nun? I don't think so!
Very nice!

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
That song immediately popped into my head when I saw this topic.
I need to rerad The Phantom Tollbooth. I liked it when my 6th grade class read it, but that was eight years ago and I understand a lot more now than I did then.
Anyway, puns. Yeah, they're pretty cool. I typically only use them in jokes I'm already exaggerating and not actually trying to be funny.
My PM box is always open to anyone who wants to talk/vent.Speaking of such, does anyone here know any way of improving the expression "Diamond is not Crash" so that it still sounds as cool but also sounds like good English and not Engrish?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Double meanings, Double Entredes, Incredibly Lame Puns, everything! Language is meant to be examined, to be played with, and utilized to enforce ideas.
