Dubstep + Nu Metal? (*Massive Hate Dumb creates universe swolowing black hole*)
Though that actually sounded awesome.

The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.Apparently, their next album will feature a bunch of dubstep musicians. I'm not sure what I should make of this. I kinda liked the song. I wonder what else their Wikipedia page says...
What. What.
"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt." - Some guy with a snazzy hat.I liked that song.
....Which is strange, considering that I'm not normally a fan of either band. I guess they just go well together. :3
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.I know they're not replacing Akira Yamaoka and I like me some Korn, but it still seems very inappropiate. Everything I've heard about the matter so far makes it look like a marketing decision.

"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt." - Some guy with a snazzy hat.I thought it was their best since Reanimation but talking about it would be kinda off-topic here. If you completely drop any notions that Linkin Park is an organic rock band and is instead a team of glorified producers, it's actually a very interesting listen. Skip "Iridescent" and "The Messenger" though. The former's an insipid ballad complete with the entire band singing back-up and the latter is definitive proof that the band should never touch an acoustic guitar or let Chester write lyrics.
"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt." - Some guy with a snazzy hat.To be honest, I've actually grown tired of Linkin Park's first two albums, aside from Hybrid Theory's b-sides and "Breaking the Habit", i.e. the tracks that have nothing to do with nu-metal. Reanimation is awesome because it ditches much of that sound. "In the End" and "Forgotten" have become hip-hop songs and "One Step Closer" and "Crawling" are now mostly electronic.

"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt." - Some guy with a snazzy hat.I used to love Linkin Park, but now I'm over them. I don't hate the band as such, but they're really not that remarkable in my opinion. The vocals are frequently out of tune live (they weren't great to begin with), the guitar playing is bland, and the musicians are mediocre (Mr Hahn is a good DJ, though).
I only really liked the band for its strong production values, but sleek production does not make a good rock band.
Linkin Park are, in my opinion, just a different kind of boy band.
I don't hate Nu Metal, though. Most of the bands are unremarkable, but I like the occasional Ko Rn song, and Deftones are amazing!
And when I heard that Ko Rn made a Dubstep record, my first thoughts were WHAT THE FUCK?!? But hey, it's catchy, and Nu Metal and Dubstep go together like peaches and cream.

I got tired of Linkin Park after a while too. I'd suggest listening to Reanimation though, listened to it for the first time in years last night and it's really good.
Is Korn the only band still considered Nu Metal? Most other bands (as far as I know) are put in Alt-Metal nowadays.

- Why the tentacles? WHY?
- The more deathcore-influenced material this band starts releasing, the more I contemplate jumping ship.
- It does pick up at the guitar solo in the first half.
