In absence of sufficient evidence one way or the other, the best conclusion to draw is simply not to draw one. There is insufficient evidence to say that Buttercup could not have broken out of her own volition, but there is also insufficient evidence to say that she could.

And is it just me, or did the artist forget to draw Blossom's hair bow?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.... Guys, I can't believe we missed the title namedropping one of our tropes!
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Yeah, they only did it for the pun; the actual trope makes no appearance here.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Well, I think it's safe to say that Blossom being The Leader is more about actual leadership and strategic/tactical thinking rather than being The Ace, while its Buttercup who is the both-speedy-and-powerful combat powerhouse of the trio (leaving Bubbles to be The Heart, the animal-communicator, and so far the most sociable of the sisters).
Quite true. She even managed to get Bell out of "cold and calculating fury" mode and back into "irrational and reckless rage" mode again just by being herself.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I'm particularly fond of the bloody eye. My biggest problem with the No-Sell as traditionally used is that it's typically used wrong. The fact that the kick clearly did damage to Buttercup highlights the fact that the No-Sell isn't about being so powerful that the attack glances harmlessly off you; rather, it's being tough enough to take it without so much as flinching. That is what makes a badass.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I think the blood is coming from her temple, and is simply spilling over her (persumably closed) eye.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Yup, her eye is A-OK, and the blood is coming from her temple.
Does the penultimate panel count as Casual Danger Dialogue? I mean, they couldn't really believe that that was enough to keep Bell down for the count, could they?
And I don't know about you guys, but I think Blossom's expression in the fourth panel is supposed to be a subtle reference to Panty And Stocking With Garterbelt's "normal" art style, because man, it strongly reminds me of Panty and Stocking's faces.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Whoah, good eyes there for catching the scant glimpse of Blossom's underwear. But you sure you're not mistaking Magic Skirt-induced shadows for Bell's AFAIK-unshown underwear?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. You sure it's not just that her pants slid down a little during the many scuffles and tumble-downs and all the other physical violence she went through with either Erika or Bell?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I believe he's referring to how, for example a couple of pages ago, all we get to see under Bell's skirt is total darkness. It's more of a joke at the obvious censorship than a serious interpretation, I think.

Compare panels four and five.
... That looks like some sort of short petticoat under skirt in panel 5, right?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.

How do you know that the bolas aren't made of alien-made superheavy materials? Erika's cyborg parts are evidently of alien tech origins (it was implicitly made by her alien Mechanical Lifeforms allies), after all; what's to stop her from having all of her equipment being made using advanced alien tech?
