I watched the movie after watching the first season of Clannad, I didn't heard the After Story at that time and it spoiled a lot. I also agree that the quality was poor and 90 minutes is too short to tell the story.
My hatoful Monster Girlfriend is the President Ecstasy: Higurashi After in Summer (All ages memorial edition)The only good thing in the Clannad movie was Tomoya bringing Youhei to see Nagisa at work. That face.
iM@S archive of materials.I was thinking about how to do a Little Busters anime adaptation. Considering it's so long and that it doesn't work without all of the routes combined, it'd be tough to do. Like in Clannad, the main girl was Nagisa from the start so they could focus on her but in Little Busters, The recurring timeline is a plot point and you can't make it a single timeline like in Clannad.
The best solution would probably be to make it like Amagami, where each arc repeats for each girl. This lures them into thinking it's a regular harem anime and then BANG. Rin 2 and Refrain.
I think Little Busters anime shouldn't have recurring timeline, because you are not supposed to know about it until Refrain. In game we are supposed to think it as a game mechanism but it is hard to pull it of in an anime(though I didn't watch Amagami, did they repeat same stuff that happened early in the game?)
The game is already pretty long and repeating the common route with small changes would make the show even longer. I think the Character Development and the nature of the dream world can be shown with a single timeline and while recurring timeline is a plot point, it can be spared for the sake of Pragmatic Adaptation.
I am also interested how are they going to handle the fighting sequence. Komari writes cute things about Kyousuke, Kyousuke is embarrassed, he takes 50 damage.
My hatoful Monster Girlfriend is the President Ecstasy: Higurashi After in Summer (All ages memorial edition)My version of Clannad might be broken :(
In Fuko's route, the music isn't playing at all anymore.
On top of that, Nagisa's name in dialogue is just a blank space while whenever she says Tomoya-Kun it's "No valid string, make a ticket about it,".
Is there a good 100% translation out there? Last time I googled a Clannad translation the best I could find was a 99% one. The one listed on Baka-Tsuki doesn't seem complete either. Also when I downloaded another seen.txt (if indeed that is the game text) it messed up my main menu, so I guess I can't do that.
Yeah, the translation for Fuuko's route really, really needed editing the most. Just bear with it.

Full Battle ModeSo I've just completed Refrain and Kuragaya's True End in Little Busters. Yet, according to the gallery, I'm only at 99%. The CG I'm missing is on pg 4, and is the third cg of the third column. It's of Rin sitting on a desk, yet I've only collected 3/4 of the possible cgs? Many thanks to those who can help!
So I've been thinking for a while. I think Little Busters is my favourite Key VN. I waited about a month after finishing just to be sure just because I might have liked it just because I played it recently. Yet, still I think it's the one I enjoyed the most. Then again, I haven't played many Key V Ns. Only Clannad and Key anime. I think I know why though.
The other V Ns have romances as their main plotlines. Air, Kanon, Clannad, even Angel Beats all have a romance as the big focus by the end. But Little Busters does something different.
The romance takes a backseat to friendship. Individually, most of the heroines of Little Busters had pretty below average routes. That's why I got bored while going through them. But refrain just moved me so much. In refrain, everything else steps back to let the male leads get the spotlight, which I was honestly far more interested in. They all had such interesting characters that I really wanted to see them in action, which never really happened until refrain.
I just think the non-romantic plotlines are so unexplored.
I think I also like Little Busters more despite thinking Clannad is better written. Refrain is easily the best part of the story and it's simply a shame that the previous routes don't really lead up to it properly.
While I like Clannad more, Refrain arc was a really different and outstanding experience. I think Air also has less focus on romance. The main theme was the relationship between a mother and her daughter. It's really refreshing to see romance not being the main focus.
My hatoful Monster Girlfriend is the President Ecstasy: Higurashi After in Summer (All ages memorial edition)I shouldn't have to say what this is.
Anyways, after I play the absurdly long Muv Luv, Little Busters is next.

And don't get discouraged by the slightly lackluster routes in Little Busters. The ending is really worth it.
I'm pretty sure that if I can live through the pacing of Muv Luv, I can handle whatever pacing issues Little Busters has. Thanks for the advice, though.
I should have recorded the commentary I made for Muv Luv Extra. It was apparently really funny. Muv Luv Extra was hilariously bad.
So, about the PV, that was Saya wasn't it? Now I'm even more curious as to how they're going to adapt Little Busters. If they're putting in Saya route, will the other EX heroines be included even though they take place post Refrain? I think they do anyway. And I wonder if they'll change the ending to imply Rin/Riki more strongly than the actual ending did.

I didn't like the movie either.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.
