Ah, thanks!

There sure are a lot of dialogues, that much I can tell for sure.

Currently downloading Little Busters. It's Korean translation, which make things...better. It is much closer to Japanese than English, after all.

300 hours!? Fate Stay Night only took me a total of 72 hours. And that took me like a month and a half to complete!

Meaning I'd be attempting Clannad for like half the year!

...

I'm still tempted enough that I'm looking to download it now. If only there was a more portable version though. It's probably worth getting a Windows tablet just to play translated V Ns on the go.

Looks like someone's picked up AIR again - 13% translated, 10% edited as of today.

Okay I finally started. Is it just me or do the routes end with surprisingly little closure?

Admittedly I've only done Misae's and Yukine's, both of which seemed pretty short.

Oh, so Yukine doesn't count as a heroine?

Are you of the opiniin that everyone else's routes are stronger? I suppose all the sidestories could be like that.

Arha Since: Jan, 2010
#282: Feb 6th 2012 at 9:29:16 AM

Yes, all the main routes are stronger. I really like Yukine, however, the writers ran out of time or something. So she appears in the main art as a heroine, but lacks a full route. You'll notice that she has basically nothing dramatic going on in her route.

By the way, you really need to do it in the order of Misae -> Tomoyo or you miss a bonus scene that gives some resolution to Misae and a light orb. So unless you did Yukine first I suggest you skip through all of Misae's route right before going to Tomoyo.

I am impressed at how much more of an idiot Sunohara is in the Visual Novel. The stupidity readings are off the scale.

Also Nagisa seems ten times as ditzy and easily lead. Then again, I haven't done her route yet, so I guess my opinion of her could still change.

She's really passive. I kind of hate her.

At least from what I've seen from anime, I have to agree. I prefer Kyou or Tomoyo.

I think Nagisa is pretty active to help other people ( she actually forces Tomoya to deal with his father's problems and also try to help Fuuko when she doesn't have any relationship with her), but she has almost no self esteem, she always think she actually deserves her problems.

Getting beaten up by Tomoyo must be good for Sunohara. He actually comes across as smarter towards the end of Tomoyo's route.

Yeah, I am progressing pretty slowly.

Tossing up whether I should do Kotomi's route now, or perhaps just go on to Kyou's route.

[up][up][up] Those two are my preference as well.

[up][up] She's very passive-aggressive. She doesn't appear to be much, but there's a fair bit tof strength hidden there.

[up] Kotomi's route was one I didn't like all that much, since it was so long and passive. Kyou's is much more active, but also kind of tricky. Not gonna say more than that if you've not read them.

Nope. That's not the point of the anime. His father got drunk, they got into a fight and his arm got injured, that's all you have to know.

Still irks me that I'm expected to think he was a good father.

Hey, guys, I'm trying to reinstall CLANNAD and, despite having my location and language set to Japanese, it goes all "JAPAN ONLY" and refuses to let me play. :/ Is there a way to bypass this?

EDIT: Okay, I have two versions. There's one that's translated fine, but can't start properly, and one that works but is in Japanese.

@289: The only past you'll actually see is about how Tomoya, Sunohara, and Kyou met, which I believe was in one of the specials.

Yeah, I've pretty much decided I'm only going to watch the movie if I'm desperate for more CLANNAD after the Visual Novel.

I saw the movie. First ten minutes. Even though I love the series to death, I dropped it immediately thereafter.
