I would be unlikely to participate in a meetup, but I know that there are other tropers in Wisconsin who would probably want to go to Chicago. I honestly do not know how far other people would be willing to go from the state though.

Like Cities, in Kansas, Iowa, Missouri,South Dakota, Nebraska
And cities in other locals like chicago and other surrounding states with large cities. Since they provide meeting points and lots of things to do. The groups of people who live in those rough areas could then decide which city to meet in.

Who watches the watchmen?I'm in the quad cities on the Mississip. But there's no need to break this down into smaller areas — if you've got something you think would make a good get-together, post where and when and see if anyone is interested in meeting-up. The first one doesn't have to be some huge whole-region thing.
Like this: The Qaud Cities River Roots music festival
is coming up on the 20th and 21st of August. Admission is free. Country, bluegrass, folk and similar.
If you prefer Jazz, the Bix Fest is 22nd to 25th of July. here's a link
to the bands that will be playing.

Hello there! All of you freaks may not remember me, but I'm that Ohioan kid who started posting here back when this thread was still in Yack Fest (Troper Covens didn't exist at that time). Does anybody know what happened to Zyxzy? For that matter, where did Blammy get off to? I see that Madrugada's still active in this thread, did everyone else leave or something?
Nah they are around the forums. I see Zyx Zy in TU but Outta The Blam isn't around all that often these days it seems.
Who watches the watchmen?

I suggest a brand new rundown of all metropolitan areas we're willing to go to. Perhaps as the responses tally up we'll see three or four cities emerge as possible centers.
I'll start. I'm in Minneapolis/St. Paul and can't really go anywhere else, at least for this first meetup.
