^ There was a YMMV at some point. Cutlisted for only having an unapproved CM entry, and concerns that it was Auto-Erotic Troping. Maybe a mod can retrieve the example, if no one is up to reading the thing?

Checking the cut reason, and it had an unauthorized CM along with a non-YMMV item (Refuge in Audacity)
- Complete Monster: One of Legate Snakefang Gelder's very first actions in the story is torturing a six-year-old filly in front of her uncle, then having his lobotomized slave studs rape both of them. One of the implements he uses to torture her is a pear of anguish
, a device that was often used historically on a woman's... privates. Think about that. He, himself, commits rape against female prisoners of war repeatedly, and tortures prisoners of war to death solely for his own amusement.
- Refuge in Audacity: When Comrade Bright confronts the Wanderer about his razing of Lesbos (Starlight had told him previously that she'd reformed him.) The Wanderer tells him that he did it because the mayor called Starlight ugly. Bright buys it once Starlight reminds him that psychological change is a slow and gradual process that takes a lot of time, skill, and effort to achieve.
Also, noting that the link on the main page leads to a 404. (Edit: Wayback machine works, and it's flagged for adult content.)

Note that the Wayback machine snapshot only includes the age-gate page, not the actual fic. The fic has been archived at https://fimfetch.net/story/299351/The_Phoenix_of_the_Wasteland

Skimmed until the relevant scene. The rape and torture is definitely not intended to be erotic, and while it's far from tasteful (it definitely reads like the author wanted to be as edgy as possible to prove that this is a dark and mature story about magic talking ponies), it's also definitely not pedobait. The rape is only described in two sentences and the torture doesn't go beyond the level of what you'd see on-screen in, say, Saw, so I don't think it's worth cutting for that scene alone.
