I've got a bad feeling that biotics are going to go back ot outclassing everything else like in Mass Effect 1.

I will try to be as polite as possible about this but...
It isn't, specially since the "Passing the Normandy" speech makes no sense unless you go full-Paragon or full-Renegade.

But...
Opinion is opinion. I liked being able to have a small measure of control over what my character said. If Bio Ware had never held any pretenses about Mass Effect being an RPG (not that it really matters what they call it, since genre is only really relevant for marketing purposes.), I would've been fine with what's going on, though I must say I wouldn't have gotten into the game since TPS games generally aren't my cup of tea. I'll judge ME 3 on its own merits While I didn't like the inventory system, I'd have preferred it to be improved rather than removed (like in ME 3) in ME 2. Same for the vehicles.
Note that I was talking about the Suicide mission speeches in ME 2 as compared to Shepard's only long speech in ME 1 and the speeches we've seen in the demo in ME 3.
And until I decide to stop or an admin tells me to, I reserve my right to free speech. Not that I feel like debating this topic anymore. It feels like I'm on /v/ only with less swear words and more (less?) ponies.
So moving on, anyone know how many weapons there are in ME 3?

Also dozen and dozen of weapons.

Donate money to Skullgirls, get a sweet poster. Are they?
The taking the Normandy speech was the only time Shepard had a long monologue in the original game as far as I know. While there were other Shepard monologues in ME 2, the Suicide mission ones were the longest.
Good news about the weapons.
YMMV on it not making sense without full renegade/paragon. A mix of paragon/renegade and neutral sounded fine. Then again, Mass Effect punishes you storywise for not going all the way, so I suppose you really can't expect someone to do anything else.
Onyhow: I liked ME 1. It was a decent if not good game. ME 2 was kinda bad IMHO, but certainly serviceable, and it had better gameplay than ME 1 (didn't care for the story personally).

If you want to debate the nature of RPG games it might be better to just start a new thread...
Give me cute or give me...something?Simply put, the mood and timing break the comparison.
In one case, it's a calm moment with people unsure to what they will see in the investigation.
In the other, the air is tense, with doom and gloom over their heads, knowing there is no way to going back.

Did I not just say that genre classification is (IMHO) just a marketing tool?
I don't care whether Bio Ware calls Mass Effect an RPG or a Hack and Slash. If I like the game I like the game, and if a feature I like gets removed, then I don't like that change.

If I had the ME 3 demo I'd play MP with you if its not LAN (lol like that exists) or local play only.
What? You're saying just because DAII did that with the demo and you're assuming that ME 3 will be the same? And remember that that's what your initial argument is about...
Also woot beat a silver game!

Give me cute or give me...something?What? That had no relation to what I just said, not in the slightest.
I said that I don't care what genre something is classified in so long as I enjoy it, nor do I think people should deliberately classify their work into genres. It's so limiting.

Yes.
I just said that WRITERS shouldn't classify things into genres and tropes, since its greatly limiting for them. Not readers, they can do what they want, though I generally prefer to look at works of fiction in a more organic light.

That makes no sense whatsoever.

Donate money to Skullgirls, get a sweet poster.I know that. I moved past that a long time ago when people actually confirmed that non-demo gameplay sections had more dialogue (though still not as much as I'd have preferred. Then again, I'm perfectly happy with a 10 minute long section of a game with very little besides talking, so I guess I'm weird.)
Didn't you say you were trying to be polite? How mature of you, I must say.
What next "No, You"? Oh I must retire from the Internet in the face of your mighty wit.
No really. Goodbye, and good day sir.

You do not write a Cosmic Horror Story with a Sugar Bowl setting.
You do not write a romance with flat characters.
The genre are not to restrain but to give tools for the writer.
The "genres just limits writers" argument just don't work.

Anyway, does it really matter if its an RPG or not? Genres are so limiting anyway. I liked being given the choice to make Shepard say 1 of three things for about 2/3 conversations, and that's what matters to me.
Plus compare the ME 1 Shepard speech upon taking command of the Normandy to the ME 2 and ME 3 speeches.
ME 1: You get a bunch of pauses to choose different options for different parts of the speech.
ME 2: At most you get to choose how each half of the speech goes.
ME 3: At most you get to choose whether Shepard sounds angry or HARDCORE ANGRY.
