I originally thought it's more like Horde mode, although I don't recall the name (since I never played Gears, but saw someone played that mode)
Give me cute or give me...something?Yeah it is...but the class progression system and the variety of powers and classes add an interesting dimension I reckon.
By the way, not that it matters since you only see them yourself, what are people naming their MP characters? I'm going callsigns rather than actual names:
- Soldiers: Wolfman (human male), Wrecker (krogan)
- Adepts: Panther (human male), Paladin (asari)
- Engineer: Talon (human male), Turbo (quarian)
- Sentinel: Lioness (human female)
- Infiltrator: Whisper (human female)
- Vanguard: Hammer (human female), Havoc (drell)
Huh, wonder why all the pure classes start as male and the hybrid ones as female...
"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong.Armor color, what weapons you carry, and of course what powers you level up. You can't change your face or pick your powers, those are assigned by species. The humans are Gas Mask Mooks or other types of Faceless Goons and the aliens all look the same, excepting their armor. Also, Thane's coat seems to be standard issue gear among drell commandos. And there's no turian infiltrator- wtf?

I named my human soldier (my main guy) "gasmaskmook". I'm going to name my turian sentinel "Gold Eagle".

...I shouldn't have expected the range of armour customisation that was in Reach.
MJOLNIR Mark V 4 lyfe
Edit: I secretly hope that when they make more games in the universe 20-30 years down the line the Alliance standard issue is Halo-esque Powered Armor.

It's not over. Not yet.Naming characters makes no difference. They're used more like save files than anything else. Only you can see their names.
Also, I thought it was interesting with, as of the multiplayer's Vanguard (is it Vanguard?) turian, there's been only two biotic turians throughout the series: Saren and the multiplayer guy.
Vyrnuus too.
Turian biotics are well established in lore. They usually serve together in units called Cabals.
"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong. Not really, since the main forte of the Mattock is accuracy.
And it's really accurate.
I find the Avenger accurate enough for my tastes.
Anyone else miss how in the previous games you could hold down the fire button semi automatic weapons? Why get rid of that, Bio Ware?
okay, question for the more tech savvy among you
if i have a video card that is better than the minimum requirements listed on Can You Run It, but it still says that my video card is one of the unusable ones, is the site being full of shit and I actually CAN run it?
because i really want to get in on the sweet sweet MP action
"Teebs is a total grump, but he's usually right." - NLKsee that accuracy thing would be a selling point if I couldn't hit enemies reliably at mid-long range using an SMG
Also I really want to unlock the viper, but every vet pack I buy just keeps giving me AR upgrades :(
Also also, Team InfilGuard needs to be a thing soon.

Plus, there are only like six enemies and two maps. I think the variety of the actual game will keep me coming back to it for a while.
