Depends on the situation. If I'm facing synthetics, I usually go Kasumi-Zaeed. Kasumi has Overload, and Zaeed has disruptor ammo as well as inferno grenades to deal with armor.
In the case of organics, I typically go Zaeed-Grunt. Grunt makes a great tank and has incinderary ammo, and Zaeed has Inferno Grenade.

I never even bother giving Kasumi Overload. Her Shadow Strike is awesome, and her flashbangs are cool. I seldom use Zaeed.
No AR, Shotty or SR. But yeah, the Tempest can do some pretty good damage. Coupled with their powers, it makes them pretty damned useful in a power. They actually work surprisingly well on Korlus, in the room with a bunch of platforms and krogan coming. Get a decent distance away, Warp, Shadow Strike, and a couple shots from any weapon to finish them off. They come one at a time, and you've got more than enough time for cooldown between each of them. Cheap, but effective.

Legion tanks almost as well as Grunt and carries around a Widow. Get him, bring along Zaeed for some squad disruptor ammo and you're set against synthetics. Don't like using Kasumi since she's got so little health, though Shadow Strike is mighty, I won't deny.
And I must reiterate that the Locust works better than the Tempest because of less recoil, even though the ammo capacity is smaller. That's how it is for me, anyway.

Yeah Legion with Widow is pretty epic it must be said. My easiest run through the SM was me and Legion with Widows (Infiltrator-bros!) and Grunt with concussive shot and squad incendiary. Just cruised through it.
PS- great work clearing Firebase White on Silver peeps. Got a bit hairy there but we did it!

"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterThe glitch occurs when you change characters in the lobby. To change characters, leave the lobby and then re-join the game no need to logout of Origin.
"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong.oh yeah, clearing silver was ridic. I feel like I've won multiplayer now and therefore should be bored.

It's not over. Not yet."And I must reiterate that the Locust works better than the Tempest because of less recoil, even though the ammo capacity is smaller. That's how it is for me, anyway."
I stick to the Locust myself. Until I can pick up the Assault Rifle on the Collector Ship, at which point I use the Mattock. I just prefer A Rs, personally. But I give the Tempest to squadmates because it seems to work really well for them. The ME Wiki recommends that set-up, of Locust for yourself and Tempest for squadmates.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. On a couple of waves there during Silver it felt like I was just on Phantom clearing duty. 4 in a single wave? Imagine what Gold would be like...
"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong.Smoke grenades aren't a terribly huge ordeal. I just cloak, run through the smoke and stab the centurion in the face, then retreat back to cover.
It's phantom spam that's the worst.
^yeah, basically the entire last 1/4 of the game was "PHANTOM COMING UP THE STAIRS, WAIT, THERE'S ANOTHER ONE, AUGH, ATLAS BEHIND THEM"
It was like trying to take down an army of Operatives. If Falco didn't have stasis, we would have been so dead.

"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterPhantoms? They're easy, at least relatively. Just shotgun them until their barriers fall. They then start flipping around and cloaking, during which you can shotgun them more. Or just get your Adept to put them in Stasis and then wail on them.
The Centurions were also just durable enough to be annoying instead of damage sponges. Which makes them even more annoying in my opinion. They have good AI and present a good challenge, though.

Don't forget the Atlas mechs. How many were there? Eight? Ten?

...They're easy if you see them coming. If they come up behind you, expect a party wipe.
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterJust finished another Silver mutliplayer game. There just as many Phantoms and we had no Adept, but AR + Mattock works fine for one at a time. The last guy just barely made it to extraction as three heavy mechs and a ton of Centurions were pouring into the landing zone.
I am now 40,000 credits richer... but still didn't get the class I wanted from the packs I bought, turian Sentinel.

...Yeah the Atlases are annoying too. Need an engineer with high level overload and incinerate.
"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong.I was looking through the characters, and I might end up maining a quarian infiltrator due to sabotage. Hm.
Alternatively, I need to try out a sniper adept and see if it would be a feasible build for me.
@Med: eh, I'm kind of wary about the demo because I feel like I'll end up being bored of MP by the time ME comes out proper.

"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." Twitterthe problem is when you run out of rockets, seeing as you only get two, but on silver, Atlus come early, often, and in multiple pairs.

Ehh I think its good to get a taste of it via the demo. If you don't want to spoil your appetite, stop after a few matches.

"I am not bothering with Deception. I enjoyed the last 3 books, but with how many errors I heard this one has, I don't even care."
I downloaded it. I wasn't going to pay for it, but I was curious. It's as bad as everyone says.
Yeah, Legion just isn't great against geth. Combat Drones are always nice to have, and I guess Hacking has its uses. But no, I never found Legion particularly great in general. Kasumi and Miranda are my favourite team. Miranda strips away protection (and boosts weapon damage), and Kasumi uses her sneak attacks. Not much in the way of real firepower, but who cares?
