"Enjoy" Jeremy Parish's article on how dark and edgy and scary ME 2 was.

My favorite part was how much more fun Wrex was than Grunt. Maybe he also found Shemp to be the best Stooge.

Its surprising that one reason why gaming journalists are annoying is that they are gamers tongue Edit: That or they are journalist pretending to be players. I had assumed that article was result of fanboyism, I guess it might be ME 1 fanism, but thats just being dumb and pretending to know what you are talking about.

[up] Keep a save from before the final decision between Samara and Morinth. Pick Morinth. Let the game auto save. Go to the lab and get dominate from "Retrain powers." Let the game autosave. Load the save you made and pick Samara.

The hard part is getting enough points to choose Morinth.

[up] Just go straight Renegade or straight Paragon. Because of the way the second game's persuade checks work, it's not the points that matter, but the percentage.

Ok, uninstalled the demo.

That should make more focused to finish ME2 for the last time, right?

...Right?

How Day 1 DLC Works:

Late in development, you have finished most of the work in the game and so you put it into a process called certification, which determines whether the game is in a state to be sold.

Certification requires less manpower than the rest of the development process, so some writers and programmers are left with nothing to do.

Instead of lounging around, they take an idea which was cut for lack of time and make it into a DLC.

DLC also has a certification process, but since there is less content, the process doesn't take as much time.

Ok, assuming that is the case, shouldn't they at least delay it like a week after release, claiming they needed that time to finish it and thus couldn't release it with the game, to at the very least try to avoid internet back draft like this?

[up][up]EDIT: Wait, no, misread that.

You'd still have backdraft, though. Some people would want to know why it wasn't released when it was ready, some people would still feel a week was too soon. There's always something to complain about.

I'm trying to do a female Renegade Adept run, but there's no way I'm finishing it before release. I only just now finished up Virmire. Plus, I'm terrible at being Renegade. Seriously, it's only about a 70/30 split, Renegade leading.

Because some asshole at Bioware thought that maybe we'd like to play the game through the first time with the DLC character and skins and whatever else it has.

The selfish prick.

While that line of reasoning makes sense, and I'm probably going to ask my friends at EA about it, I'm not sure if it's 100% the case all the time. The thing is, this DLC*

was announced a while ago—long before resources could start rolling off the main game with enough bulk to properly integrate, as opposed to just add, new content.

That's how Casey explained how things went.

But since he is the executive producer, he is contractually obligated to say positive stuff about his workplace.
