Though from what I understand the sword is supposed to come from one of the forearms.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite. That was pretty cool up until the moonspeak at the end.
I guess it's saying to think twice before you start sipping Haterade, or something.

Not a chance. The Mijumaru line would be complete gibberish in English. All Pokemon have a Meaningful Name or Punny Name.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Pikachu is meaningful in the english version? Pachirisu is meaningful in the english version?
Read my stories! If English speakers have no problems with Orochimaru or Shikamaru, then they should have no problems with Mijumaru or Futachimaru.
And they pretty much have to keep the "maru" suffix anyway, since it was a common suffix for Samurai's names, and is a common suffix for Japanese male names today.

I'm 50/50 undecided about whether the names will change. The designs of the Mijumaru line are clearly Japanese inspired but Game Freak has only once left the names of the starters untouched and that was in response to the fact that the original names were already decent puns.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I don't get why Pachirisu was left untouched actually. What's the pun? I don't hear it.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.In Japanese it's electrical crackling + squirrel. In english...I guess it's just being lazy.

Burn up, hurricane of justice!Pikachu is at least a pun on the Pika. But yes I prefer for the meanings of Pokemon names to be clear.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.

I disagree about Virizion.
In the legend, Aramis (the musketeer who Virizion is based on) was feminine, vain, and romantic.
And unlike the sprite, Virizion's Sugimori art brings out those three qualities.
