Whiskey...it just rocks my world. How does it continue to be so tasty in all its many forms? Bourbon, Scotch, Irish...I salute you.

This does not apply to Canadian varieties...you, sir, have failed to rock.

Never had it. It's a good word, though.

I recommend the American varieties rather strongly. The Scottish are too expensive, the Irish too dry and the Canadian ones just plain suck.

Aw yeah whiskey.

It can be a kick in the throat too, though.

Bushmills is reasonably priced ('round here at least) at $18 for .75L.

Evan Williams, $11.95 a bottle. It's what I'm drinking the photo. Mixed with a good soda it isn't bad at first, and after a while drinking it from the bottle doesn't seem so bad.

Bushmills is very smooth to me at least, but I have a like and tolerance for harsher drinks.

Cheap Bourbon = Caramelized goodness for your liver.

It is not sweetened, but adding Coke or Dr. Pepper to it makes it go down smooth.

I made the mistake once of purchasing a fifth of Southern Host. It... was one that I am not interested in repeating, if at all possible.

Southern Host?? Do you mean Southern Comfort?

Because if you do, I sympathize. Such used to be my favorite drink until I had too much of it.

These days, I buy booze without the sugar. My stomach thanks me.

Southern Host is a knockoff of Southern Comfort.

OMG, such a thing exists?

That..boggles this drunkard's mind. Try the real thing, or better yet, try real whiskey before you condemn a whole genre of drinking.
