From memory:
- Boy named Sam comes to fish planet, meet a girl and a magic ship that can sail the galaxy.
- King tells Sam he'll get the ship if he gets the King the Squid Emperor's blue blood.
- Sam trains for his battle by killing lesser squid, he and the girl break a taboo by drinking the squid's blood.
- Sam kills Squid Emperor with his spear.
- King reveals that he wanted the blue blood because it's the only thing that can kill him and Who Wants to Live Forever?.
- Ability to control the ship comes with being King, but Sam refuses to take the King's throne.
- King tells Sam that the girl's red blood is needed to activate the ship, and dies.
- Sam kills the girl, pours her blood over the ship, and sails away into the galaxy, only to realize that the galaxy had been around him the whole time.

That was implied by the whole "secret back door and him being unconscious" thing. Though I guess some part of his subconscious remembered a bit of it or figured out that he was not reviving with only his own power, because otherwise he would not have been able to set up this current "collapse/deep sleep" and draw out the other maiden.
That was a nice play, and a pretty elegant way to introduce backstory. Now we have 3 episodes left to resolve everything in the series. Let's see how wild the ride is.
To me, the play seems to be sort of prequel/alternate ending of Fish-girl story. Now we know what the deal with the immortal Emperor and his magical ship is, while Sam and Mark present the choices and consequences about the girl and the ship. Fish-girl's story is a warning while Sarina's gives hope. I could not help snickering at how "drama-queen" Sugata is on stage, a big contrast to his calm behaviour in real life. Sort of like the Crux with their masks actually.
Yo dog, I heard you like hearing, so I put ears into your ears so you can hear while you hear.
...Or however that Meme is suposed to go.

Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!^"Irrelevant?" It explained the backstory, as well as all but telling us that Sugata is going to Make a Face–Heel Turn.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyI said mostly. And I really don't know where you get the latter from. Yes, his character in the play turned evil, but just because Sarina's role in the play turned out to be rather close to life doesn't mean Sugata's will. Unless you want to suggest that Tiger is Ayingott's real Driver and Jaguar is secretly the leader of the Crux or something.
Besides, Columner seems to be more similar to Head than anyone else, with Mark sort of being a composite of Takuto and Sugata, as suggested by the part at the end about the knife.

I guess it is.Well, I've been expecting him to break Wako's seal for around half the series, so I'm taking this as a likely confirmation.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyThe Squid Emperor is the God-Emperor of [[{{40K}} Mankind]], and Samekh is the only warp-capable ship as of now. Its owners feel compelled to ROCK THE FUCK OUT
"Sweets are good. Sweets are justice."But I wonder what the talk about Columner becoming one with the ship is about. The most word-for-word analogy would be Samekh has a will of his(?) own, probably because the Cybody absorbs its first Driver/a person seeking its power. And I take Columner as the King in Fish-girl's story rather than the Squid Emperor. The immortal King has a magical ship that can sail into the sky and wants to "sleep" (because of regret?).
I must say I feel sorry for Keito at the end. Wonder what Sugata will do about that. Turning the island upside down to find out what else has been done to him behind his back is a possibility.
I'm presuming that Columner was Samekh's original Driver, who fused with the Cybody (in a manner akin to what the Crux can acomplish if they break Keito's seal) and imbued it with a will of its own. How this is going to come into play in the final episodes remains to be seen.
Still, guess we know for sure what the giant red-and-black Cybody from the OP is now.

What's precedent ever done for us?Also a bit Fridge Brilliance for Fish-girl's story, because the King is one with the ship, he needs to die/end his magical immortality (severing the bond with the ship) before the ship can be handed over to Sam. And the King probably plays nice by offering Sam his throne rather than the ship as the reward because he knows what kind of Fate Worse than Death that ship entails.

Can anyone please repost Fishgirl's story?
