Maybe? I mean, when you're riding a Humongous Mecha, that's one thing, but when you're on ground level...
But why does everyone in the Crux act all smug and arrogant and with those constant shit-eating grins? Especially those who are a lot more low-key in other circumstances, such as Mizuno.
"Sweets are good. Sweets are justice."Yeah, just look at Lelouch...well, except in that case he DID succeed in fooling damn near everyone, but you get the point. :p

Hello episode 22.
OH MY GOD THE VICE PRESIDENT IS FUCKING KYUBEY
Ahem. That was a pretty nice play. It was also nice to know that Keito wasn't raeping Sugata but instead performing some sort of purification that requires direct mark-to-mark contact. Glittering Crux continues to step up its game as the next episode promises a three-on-one-fight, but honestly at this point in the series I wonder if it even matters.
Please be gentle with me.Man, the WMG-fuel in this episode...
Looks like we're going to be seeing a bit more of Samekh soon, judging by all the exploration of its (his?) backstory we got here. And even Takuto's old crush picked up on the Ho Yay between him and Sugata. OT3 ending, still on course.
What's precedent ever done for us?You could also interpret Takuto's friend's line as meaning "Watch out for the competition from Sugata", but I think it was supposed to be ambiguously Ho Yay.
I wonder how Sarina came up with something so much like Fish Girl's story? It's not identical or anything, but...
Tumblr here.I got the impression that Sarina was doing Write What You Know, since the story seemed way too accurate. Even Head picked up on what would have happened later.
OH MY GOD THE VICE PRESIDENT IS FUCKING KYUBEY
This made me LOL.
Also,
Sarina is really a Human Alien. Head might be too.
This answers some questions about Ayingott: specifically, It's the main villain, but of a different story.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyWell over 5 posts
@Hylarn: I don't see how this episode was a waste of time. At all. We got confirmation on the
that the president knows a LOT more of what is going on than she lets on, the true back story of Samekh, knowledge that the different Cybodies were once used by people with magical abilities (probably from different planets and passed their powers to earthlings at some point-ether to help unseal, or keep sealed, Samekh), and that the reason Tauburn is more powerful/can be used easier than the others is because it is the only one actually designed for human use. Still not exactly clear on who/what the Maidens are.
THE PLAY WAS PRINCESS TUTU LEVELS OF FUCKING AWESOME
This episode is right now my favourite in the entire freaking series. I'm a sucker for classic-style narration. We need MOAR of that: today's narrative styles try too hard to imitate reality, and forget about the DREAM.
"Sweets are good. Sweets are justice."I think this episode would have been more interesting for me if it was placed earlier in the series. I know that would have messed up the timing of the Mizuno arc and the play would have to be changed so they could drop big reveals like about how Tauburn is for humans later on, but now I feel like they're foreshadowing stuff that's going to be released imminently. If it were earlier, there would have been time for all these revelations to simmer and confuse us for weeks before everything got revealed.
Meh, I don't know. It just bothers me that they spent an episode hinting at stuff that's going to be explained—or that they're hopefully going to explain—anyway in the next and final 3 episodes.

Yeah, but Takuto and the characters that are not Head didn't know that stuff and the explanations would have come out of no where if the rest of the play did not set it up.

This is an understandable point of view. I can't describe exactly how it would work (a lot of the events would have to be rearranged and the reactions of other characters rewritten), but I can see how the play could have been shown earlier in the season.

Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!I also really liked this episode, mostly to the interesting story with layers of symbolism over the true history of the Cybodies, not to mention everyone's acting.
It's quite interesting that this is the prequel to Fish-Girl's story, which now has a completely different meaning. Again.
And what about Mizuno's short story about a witch? Was her story just a simple fantasy, or could that tie into the play as well? I don't remember it, but note that Ayingott, who messed with Marino, was a witch in the play.

You're going to question the point of theatrics in Star Driver?
