(I'm not sure where this really belongs, so I'm putting it in YF for now. Mods, feel free to move it to Forum Games if you think it fits better there.)
The point of this thread is to list your favorite tropers and say what makes you like them so much. Please be specific; we already have Gushing About Shows You Like if you want to gush about TV Tropes or the Forums in general.
EDIT: Chopped the list because it's now quite outdated, and there are some comments in here that only made sense back in 2009 and may have even been a bit creepy.

Love is a decision. It isn't the random, pulling force that some think it is. There is no "one true love" for anyone. There are many who we could love as well as we do any other. The ones we love best, we love by our own choice. Even if we don't understand how we make that choice.
"The marvel is not that the Bear posts well, but that the Bear posts at all."If he starts writing down everything I show him or say to him, I'm just going to start linking multi-hour videos on youtube for him to try and transcribe.
Most of which will probably be Henry Rollins videos. Maybe some other people thrown in.

Just following your advisement. Not terribly happy with the shading, though.
Maybe "decision" is too conscious of a word for it, but it is something that is the result of our ability to think as sentients and not solely rooted in our animal urges or instinct.
Meh. As I've said before, every relationship I've ever had has been kind of a whirlwind type thing.
Grim meets girl. Girl and Grim get along. Very, very well. At some point, feelings are confessed. Sappiness and other things ensue. Somewhere along the way, I inevitably get called adorable, and told "There is a limit to how cheesy something can be while still being sweet, you know." I usually prove them wrong.
Then, at one time or another, just as quickly as it started up, it ends. /shrug/ Welcome to my love life.
"Lock up your girlfriends, lock up your wives, Grim's on the loose so run for your lives." - PyriteHope? Take notes on these:
That second last one was stuck in my head all day at work. I don't think singing "Baby, I'm an Anarchist; you're a spineless liberal..." would have gone over well with the people I work with.
But yeah. The last link is really pretty much the best thing I can throw at you for notes right now.

You're welcome!
"Lock up your girlfriends, lock up your wives, Grim's on the loose so run for your lives." - PyriteHe may not be here on the forums, but I'd like to gush about a troper called FEHL 2, who, as I can see from my watchlist, has been showing incredible dedication to updating the site in regards to the namespace change; he's found and changed just about every one of the dozens of tropes I've launched over the years, including some really obscure ones. I don't know what the importance of the namespace change is, but he's done some great work nonetheless.
The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books. The person will probably find this odd if they read this since we haven't actually conversed, but I'm pretty fond of Keybreak, as he's the only person on here to acknowledge my existence. Since I'm immature and I hold a grudge, I'll probably be ignoring everyone for months to come, but Keybreak is cool with me.
