Gush About Tropers You Like

Go To

(I'm not sure where this really belongs, so I'm putting it in YF for now. Mods, feel free to move it to Forum Games if you think it fits better there.)

The point of this thread is to list your favorite tropers and say what makes you like them so much. Please be specific; we already have Gushing About Shows You Like if you want to gush about TV Tropes or the Forums in general.

EDIT: Chopped the list because it's now quite outdated, and there are some comments in here that only made sense back in 2009 and may have even been a bit creepy.

Nabbitdag, all the all-loving people in this thread make me feel like a git for not feeling the same way.

It is irrelevant, for we are all Fast Eddie's sockpuppets.

To be honest, the inability to say I love everyone is because I don't know half the people here well enough. Of course, I doubt I could ever achieve 100% familiarity with any community anyways.

@Noimporta: But what about the sockpuppets who have sockpuppets of their own? And how do we know those sockpuppets don't also have sockpuppets? Oh God, we've entered an infinite recursion of sockpuppetry!

I guess it is.

Cliche, just borrow my excuse. It's a great one.

Okay, fine I'll make a list.

  • n, for being really smart and insightful in conversation.
  • n. This guy constantly makes me laugh.
  • n has a sort of upbeat take on life that keeps me going.
  • n is very diplomatic, and keeps us all civil through example.
  • n is just really weird in an endearing kind of way.
  • n just has this way with words and expressions I really like.
  • n. Just n. No words are necessary.

But, on the dark side:

Fill in to your heart's content.*

* And no, I wasn't thinking of anyone specific when I wrote any of these, so there are no right or wrong answers. This applies to all of you, more or less.

I never know how to respond to these sort of things. I'm too afraid of leaving cool people out. sad

Freezair: Eh, giving complements always makes me nervous, but as you can see, I did it anyway. smile

Also, I should reiterate that just because you leave someone out doesn't mean you don't like them! I know I have a hard time remembering everyone I like here, so...

Hell, I keep making new lists when I remember what I wanted to say.

I might love this thread more than is healthy.

See, when I realise who I'm leaving out, I say their name. Or once I figure out what I want to say to someone, I say it.

Am I really that bland and forgettable? Because nobody gushes about me unless they are reminded to. I shall bitch and moan about this on my Facebook page, like a manly-man!

I like Jinxed Blackcat. She seems fairly moe to me, but I never ever see her post so I haven't got a good gauge of her personality.

And me too, Noodle Kitten.

I'm not sure how many I ended up on, but even being on one list makes me that much happier. waii

Also, I like Jinxed too, but I didn't originally have her on the list since i don't know her very well. Same goes for Katrika as well. I like you both because you're cute and (while not as endearingly quirky as Meaty) have interesting personalities all your own.
