Gush About Tropers You Like

Go To

(I'm not sure where this really belongs, so I'm putting it in YF for now. Mods, feel free to move it to Forum Games if you think it fits better there.)

The point of this thread is to list your favorite tropers and say what makes you like them so much. Please be specific; we already have Gushing About Shows You Like if you want to gush about TV Tropes or the Forums in general.

EDIT: Chopped the list because it's now quite outdated, and there are some comments in here that only made sense back in 2009 and may have even been a bit creepy.

I would make a list but it would include pretty much everyone who has posted in this thread(and a bunch who haven't). So pretend that it does.

Oh, but I'd love to read it, William.

Haven, didn't you say you were working on a list? Or did you already post it and I accidentally overlooked it?

I half want to read through this thread again. This might be my favourite thread ever. ^.^

I thought I remembered you posting a list too. Well, my memory was correct, after all.

And don't worry man. It's cool. Though...if you wanted to add me to it or something, feel free.

Probably, after I get some food and—wait, it's 9 PM? Man, I suck at getting stuff done. On a related note: I still feel like my coverage of AFGNCAAP in that post is inadequate.

I completely forgot you live in New York so when you said it's nine, I was like, "What really, since when?"

Haven, I have told you lately that you're a really cool guy? I know I have more to say to you, but I think of what specifically.

I just wanted to give a general statement to everyone that P Med me when I realised that I basically view suicide as an absolute in my life. Thank you for being there.

I'll say it again, tropers are some of the most intelligent, funniest, and nicest people I've ever known. Some of them all at the same time.

You're welcome, Lucky. You're a pretty cool guy yourself.

In my opinion, you all are way to cool to be pretty cool guys. You're all Pretty Cool Guy squared times infinity. That's how awesome everyone on this site is.

  • Fawriel shouldn't need explanation by this point.
  • Glenn Magus Harvey plays memes masterfully.
  • Haven is currently the Mellon Lord!
  • Karalora is a fangirl who Does The Research.
  • Korgmeister can be expected to have valuable, common sense input on economic topics.
  • Made Of Meat has an admirable respect for mad science.
  • Meta Four is... I dunno, just friendly and relatable.
  • Tzetze similarly.

And Fast Eddie and Janitor have together written a forum system from scratch and entirely retrofitted what-was-pmwiki, and still keep on administrating. So, kudos!

My mind doesn't have an index, so if you're reading this, you're probably OK by me too. If you aren't, then it's my failing, not yours.

Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?

  • Lizard Bite: For being a SNAKE.
  • Karalora: For being Team Mom
  • Jinxed: For being playful and loveable.
  • Meta Four: He's a pretty cool guy, and he started the GIRL thing a lot of people do around here. Kinda. I guess. Whatever. Plus, I'm pretty sure he listens to good music. And he's basically the reason I started reading GC, which is definitely a good thing.

  • Tzteze- Smart guy with a sense of humor.
  • Blamm- YOU'RE ESPECIALLY GOOD AT EXPECTORATING!
  • melloncollie- She's cool when she doesn't have super low self esteem.
  • Katrika- For being nice and being made out of sunshine and rainbows.
  • Bobby G- Nice guy with a much more idealistic view of things than me, which I admire.
  • Korg- Coolest cynic here.
  • insofar/[AOD]- Good at debating.
  • Madeofmeat- Weird as hell (in a good way).
  • Tongpu- The sheer Refuge in Audacity in his posts makes him hilarious.

I just read through Faw's post and he said this about Furiko: "You know that I consider you one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen". I'd like to say that, from what I remember from the photos thread  *

, I totally agree.

Oh, and what he said to Haven, I also would like to say that to Haven: We totally should talk more off-forum. I think it'd be great fun.

  • Thnikkafan: When you impersonated Tzetze, I thought it was really funny.
  • Meaty: I'm not entirely sure what to say to you. You're cute and quirky and perky and fun and creative and cool.
  • Lord Necronus: You're one of the more reasonable metal heads over in Music, and that's cool.
  • Ironeye: You have a really pleasant voice, and I frequently remember that night on Vent when I needed to get off but couldn't so you booted me. I laughed so hard when you did that.

There's almost definitely more upcoming.

I don't think it's Mister Rogers, but I suppose that's possible.

  • Jethro: You're cool and stuff. A bit radical, sometimes, but that makes me happy for some reason.
  • Lull: If I had met you in real life, I probably wouldn't have liked you much. At first, anyway. You have many traits I don't typically like in a person. However, since I didn't meet you online, I think you're a pretty rad guy, even though you intimidate me sometimes, and it'd be cool if we like got coffee or something, but you live in Alaska, so that ain't happenin'.
