(I'm not sure where this really belongs, so I'm putting it in YF for now. Mods, feel free to move it to Forum Games if you think it fits better there.)
The point of this thread is to list your favorite tropers and say what makes you like them so much. Please be specific; we already have Gushing About Shows You Like if you want to gush about TV Tropes or the Forums in general.
EDIT: Chopped the list because it's now quite outdated, and there are some comments in here that only made sense back in 2009 and may have even been a bit creepy.

Rorschach > Spider Man > Iron Man > Batman, for my favorite superheroes...
I am now known as Flyboy.Seems unreasonable to worship a sppace hobo who manipulates people, turns them into weapon and then destroys their life, but hey, whatever works for you.
^>Rorsarch.
>Superhero
was that actually just typed ._.

It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.I don't think he's evil at all. Now, fanatic...
Also, this thread needs moar Green Lantern.
"In the land of the insecure, the one-balled man is king." - HavenMy sister had a dress-up party last week.
The quietest member of her social group, an engineering student, rocked up as Rorschach.
It was awesome.
"You've got your transmission and your live wire, but your circuit's dead." - MediaRorschach... I wanted to see him shape up and figure out that he was far past obsessed, but that was too hopeful for Watchmen. I don't know, I personally consider Rorschach more of a villain and not at all awesome.
The emotions of others can seem like such well guarded mysteries, people 8egin to 8elieve that's how their own emotions should 8e treated.Yeah, I thought Rorschach was one of the most principled characters in the story. That was his problem, really.
I am now known as Flyboy.![]()

Blatant lies. He saves the universe all the time, plus his powers explicitly rely on his willpower and bravery. If he was a pansy, his ring wouldn't work.

"In the land of the insecure, the one-balled man is king." - HavenKid had the best costume at the party so I'm not complaining. ^_^
(rest of her friends are slack)
"You've got your transmission and your live wire, but your circuit's dead." - MediaWell, the much worse Lobo is technically a superhero.
The sin of silence when they should protest makes cowards of men.I dunno, I can't recall off the top of my head anything evil Rorschach actually did "on camera." He was deranged, but not necessarily evil.
I am now known as Flyboy.Right. Rorschach was mentally unstable and held questionable ethics, but was definitely not evil. Also he has no superpowers, so he can't be a superhero. He's a masked hero, and a superhero to the same extent Batman is, but he's not a real superhero.

Well, comics made superheroes a recognized genre. I don't blame you for that, but I'd definetly try to avoid personal associations and bias when it comes to media discussion
