The implication I'm getting from this chapter is Lucy only received one star dress for free because the King felt bad for her, but trained to get the rest over a year. The sacrifice doesn't seem to have ever been a requirement. You could call that a retcon but honestly Lucy has consistently been portrayed as less of a talented wizard and more someone who gets by on luck and character. I can buy Yukino being able to understand star dress that quickly.

On an unrelated note, seems like Hiro'll be doing another new manga on 6th of July lol. He's teased it'll be a short project at least.

Hiro did Juvia for Juvia day yesterday and Lucy for Lucy day today.

That's a nice dress on Lucy.

....why do both her and Juvia have their own days?

Aaand Elefseria reaches the plot reset point of the arc. Classic. Let's hope Athena's fine with sitting there dying while the old man flashbacks.

Also the new Mashima short monthly series is out, nothing too special honestly. 90 pages, big at least I guess.

In hindsight, linking Avatar specifically to Athena's cult feels kinda odd. There was a buuuuuuuunch of Zeref cults around lol. Unless they mean to say that all the Zeref cults were Avatar, which seems kinda reaching.

Oh, they do bring up the Machias from Alvarez, neat. Not in the way some wanted I imagine.

Couldn't help but chuckle at Elefseria justifying this nonsense by saying "Yeah Dogramag literally punched my memories out."

(Also I imagine the translation for Natsus Attack move was off, never seen that move before and it's just a regular punch, he already has two of those in LFD mode)

I see the two Alchemy dudes had to do the sensible thing and summon Sai's total Bond Alchemy BS lol. Guess all the guild members aside maybe the sisters are constructs? Probably them too? Kinda boring but also kinda interesting I guess. Good for Lucy with that showing!

Granted then they get Bonded but Lucy gets the seemingly better deal, if you ignore that their magics are even more incompatible than Natsu and Gray's, at least both can do elemental punching.
