So, I've been watching the Kingdom Hearts Timeline (great series) and it's really silly how Master Aqua's dream is still to become a Keyblade Master. It's also silly how Terra decided that information about a boy in a mask controlling the Unversed isn't important enough to share with Aqua. Made even sillier by the fact that he starts thinking about it immediately after he turns around to leave.

But those Heartless are still ultimately beings of darkness at their core. My point is, individuals with hearts of pure light are unambiguously benign and altruistic.

I'll admit I like the theory that the second saga's villain will be light-themed, following Xehanort's DARKNESS! A Tautological Templar with morals similar to Megaten Law, perhaps.

Just a possibility, that's all. I mean, there's Beast who turned from ally to enemy in KH II because of under the enemy's control, so why not Ariel and Simba get into this when they turned into Heartless for their own actions in their respective sequels?

I already put up a post of Sora attacking Simba with his Keyblade; he should do the same thing to Ariel when she tries to justify snapping at Melody which sends her flying to the wall. By hurting them both with the Keyblade, that would indicate that they're both consumed by darkness. An awesome moment to boot.

Anyway, either Maleficent/Xenahort's method of turning Ariel into a Heartless should be more brutal than Pete converting Simba into Heartless. In fact, it's by jabbing a staff/Keyblade to her chest to get her to succumb to darkness.

Is it just me or does something seem off about the Gothel render?

Not that I don't want to see that happen, but I expect it won't happen because unlike beast, ariel or simba aren't big creatures that are first introduced as ennemies and have the temper of one in their respective movies.

My question wasn’t just about the concept itself. It’s that you keep bringing it up over and over again, and you seem really excited about it.

You don’t have to go anywhere close to those extremes if all you want is commentary about how they both Took a Level in Jerkass in their respective sequels. I mean, at this point, you’re like “Ariel should be turned into Heartless in a really violent way, and oh yeah, does anyone remember my detailed description of Sora beating up Simba?” It seems less like an idea for an interesting plot point, and more like you just want those characters in particular to suffer.

Also, I asked a while back if you meant actual Heartless, since that’s very difficult to reverse, or if you meant coming really close to it. You said it was the latter, but you’re still treating it like the former, down to being controllable with darkness. You seem to want to have your cake and eat it too, but that’s not how it works.

Maybe I’m jumping to conclusions about your intentions here, but that’s the impression I’m getting.

Yes, it’s cute.

...Although I wasn’t sure what to think when Sora did the same thing with Neku and Shiki. They get a bit of Ship Tease in their game, but it doesn’t go past that, and I personally like them better as friends.

Shiki's transition to 3D still looks really not great, I mean her waist is skinnier then Jack Skellington

It's really not. It works fine in TWEWY itself because everything's really stylized, but as a 3-D model next to less-stylized characters? She looks anorexic. Sure, Neku's just about as skinny, but his waist and hips aren't visible.

Yeah. Like, clothing can cover just how thin characters are. Its why good fashion choices for skinny guys is often to layer and get bulkier items; It just kind of hides how thin and lanky some people are. Not that its a bad thing, but some people don't like the way they look.

They are, but each of them is meant to be about as long as 0.2. So.

Square Enix and Nomura have announced today that development on Kingdom Hearts III has wrapped up.

I'm sure there a really cool final world they're keeping under wraps.

I'm still thinking Princess and the Frog is in. Wasn't there evidence that Anika None Rose and Keith David have been up to... something video game-related?

Of course, they gotta keep some stuff under wraps to surprise us in a good way for once.

I really hope there are more worlds.

Those are all REALLY safe choices and also REALLY boring to me.

None of them felt particuarly unexpected to me. Not surprising in the way of Space Paranoids or Fantasia which were real fan delights back in the day.

However, I would point out that we've maybe gotten two shots of Radiant Guarden and we've got implications that Castle Oblivion and other related worlds are probably in.

Well, let's see, we have Corona, Sugar Rush, Arendelle, San Fransokyo, the Toy Story world, the Monsters, Inc. world, Olympus, Agrabah, Port Royal, Twilight Town, most likely Radiant Garden, likely Hundred Acre Wood, and The Very Definitely Final Dungeon (possibly the Keyblade Graveyard).

That's 13 worlds, fulfilling the usual mandatory appearance of the number 13. For context, the first game had 13 (not including Disney Castle), COM had 13, the second game had 15, BBS had 10, and 3D had 11.

Sugar Rush is not confirmed as a world,Ralph's summon is tho
