Anyone remember this show at all? I discovered it a while back, and I can't get enough of it. My only big complaint is that none of the villains came back.

^^ That's what bothers me about a lot of shows like that - and Fillmore had some really great villains too.

He had a goldfish named Thelonious. The moment I saw that I knew I would like this show.

The villain from the first episode even SWORE that he'd cross paths with Fillmore again. That's the kicker for me right there.

Did the bad guys ever return in 70s Cop Shows?

Bad guys never return in any mystery show, from the old cop shows like Fillmore is homaging, to new stuff like Monk. No matter how interesting the villain is, or how awesome/interesting/closure-inducing it would be if they were given a followup.

I loved this show. I can understand why it didn't last, though— its humour and plots are bit too offbeat for most kids to enjoy, I think. Plus you need to know a TON of pop culture to get most of the jokes— not many 8-12 year-olds could recognize 70s cop show tropes and references to Silence of the Lambs, Gone in 60 Seconds, and Die Hard.

This and The Weekenders were probably my favourite Disney cartoons. Recess too, but not as much.

Of all the series Disney made around this time: Recess, Weekenders, Lloyd In Space, etc, this was definitely the best (except maybe House Of Mouse).

I was ever a big fan of Recess; while I liked them, I only mostly ended up watching Weekenders or Lloyd In Space if I was already watching the channel before hand; I avoided Teamo Supremo like the plague; but between this, Buzz Lightyear, and the Disney Afternoon reruns, D Isney cartoons still rocked.

Ugh, Teamo Supremo, I really hate that show. Boring and cliched stories, one-dimensional characters, stupid villains. The premise could have been interesting, but apparently they could not do it right.

God, I miss this show! I used to pretend to be Ingrid Third as a kid. sad Even though I didn't get a lot of the humor, I still liked it, but rewatching it is nice.

Oh yeah. It was still airing something like 2 years ago where I live. I remember spending the whole summer holiday watching it. I've rewatched the series just recently, it's really fun.

It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.

I only saw one episode when it was originally airing, but over the summer I grabbed a torrent of the whole series and just binged on it. And it was good.

Agreed. It's a shame too, since they were able to get ahold of so much talented people for the show: Martin Mull, Brian Doyle Murray, Mark Hamill, Tim Curry, Wallace Shawn, Ed Asner....the whole show ended up being a remarkable waste.

Fillmore is on at 3:30pm every week day in my area, I find no shame in admitting I watch it. I enjoyed it very much when I was a kid, but being older now I get more of the jokes.

I never got around to seeing an episode; the most I knew about this show was that the theme was the intro to that Mr. Potatohead song.

[up]"Das Uber Tuber, or the Mystery of Mr. P!" by Ookla the Mok! An awesome song in itself, by the way.

(starts about a minute in, at least, as I heard it on the album)

...oh, right Fllmore!! Good show. Shame it isn't aired anymore. Any show with Don La Fontaine narrating the titles is bound to be awesome from the get-go.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.

[up]Fillmore and Ingrid the Third make cameo appearances in an episode of American Dragon Jake Long. And by cameo appearance, I mean they appear in the background for like, ONE SECOND!
