I thought we had a thread for Questionable Content before, but I can't seem to find it.
Anyway, I just needed to say that today's
comic bummed me out, as it did its creator. I hope Faye doesn't go through with it. There's a pretty good chance she'll have a change of heart, I think. Sven definitely needs some comeuppance - karma still needs to bite him for that time he kicked Marten out the bathroom to deal with his date. What a jackdouche.

Even the Girl Genius creators, who seem to like us, have on their Extra Fun
page:
"tvtropes.org, with which we are completely unaffiliated, is happy to let us know how much of a cliché our story really is. Ouch. (Warning: This site is fascinating and will eat hours of your time.) "
So I can see why other authors would be put off or annoyed.

And this is why you vet firmware updates. Laughed at the title.
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. Are you hitting on me, Erik?
According to our shíppers, duh!
(Give reasons for shipping Jethro and Erik include "They talked to eacg once" and "They live on the same continent - the author of TV Tropes must mean they are a couple!")
Erik
The commentary there is kind of worrying, to say the least.
Oh, and from earlier: Notable References To TV Tropes, go crazy.

Bluetooth.
I do so love the Stealth Pun in the title. He's got green thumbs, geddit? Waka waka waka!

So, anyone else notice the QUALITY drawing this week? Jeph seems to be having an off day.

I hadn't really noticed, though I did get the vague feeling something was different. I don't think it's really bad though—I think he might be experimenting (as he so often does) with a slightly simpler style, maybe to save himself some time.
Marigold and Angus are sweet together. Not in a shippy way, though. It's kind of odd that we're getting this without seeing how their friendship got to this stage, though I guess that's only in contrast to how we've seen just about every other dynamic in the comic reached its current point from the beginning of the relationship (the only major ones I can think of that don't fit that are Marten's relationships with Steve & Pintsize).

Productivity is for people without internet connections. -Count DorkuQuick question from a guy who wants to start reading this: where should I start in the archives? 1500 comics is a little much, and I heard it picks up at strip 500.
Wait, when did I get a manga blog?
Planescape Hijack
Start a few strips before then—50 to 100, I'd say—so you get a sense of who the characters were and how they interacted before that particular bombshell. It's a tearjerker series of strips that starts around 500, but the effect probably would be lost if you're not familiar with the character.

Or subscribe to Google Reader, search for and add the QC feed, then set the "Feed Settings" to "Sort by oldest". Voila! All the comic on one continuously-scrolling page.
Edit: Wait, that doesn't work. You have to keep hitting Page Down. Click Show List (top-right corner),go to the start, then click Show Expanded.
Edit Edit: And the feed doesn't go back that far - only to #1064
.

Clearly,Everything's Cuter with Kittens,because I want this
very badly.

Also, if he wants people to stop shipping characters, don't put so many damn Ship Tease scenes in there.
99.99% of all Ship Tease scenes in existence in all media are only in the head of the shippers. I can prove it with graphs!
