I do wonder if we're meant to feel like Melon should be getting professional help.
I know it's a comedy but the characters do treat her with genuine concern.
Like perhaps AI don't get an equivalent to medication, but a professional carer who checks up on her and helps her with paper work would probably double her life expectancy.
Though I guess she does have a rigerous support network of friends who are doing that for her.
I also expect that her sister the therapist has to be keeping tabs on her.
Oh, bother.
I'm more worried about the people willing to pay someone to be covered in bugs and scream.

I think Faye meant toxic in relation to biological people (as it is relevant to her not getting it on her own skin) and Melon is technically correct in concluding that it doesn't necessarily apply to her. Being fancy tech glue, getting it into any places it shouldn't be in the chassis will gum up the joints at best and short the circuitry at worst though.

Sorry Faye, I'm with Bubbles on this one. Professionalism is important at work when actually performing work tasks. Even with your significant other. Especially with your significant other. You gotta compartmentalize that shit.
Bubbles is right but she's being a butt about it. She could easily have presented that way better.

Yeah, I don't know how it is for AIs, but I've had a doctor's appointment where said doctor and one of the nurses were arguing right in front of me and I basically decided "yeah, ok, time to find a new doctor"

Fortunately for the Union Robotics reputation they're not actually arguing in front of a witness. Melon is in standby mode.
Although it does kind of lead to questions when they say they deleted the recording... I know it's not a direct parallel, but it's reminding me of a recent furforall where, during the arrest of a sheriff for suspected drunk driving, which may have involved an illegal entry into his home, the body camera footage was stated to have been erased for the sheriff's reputation, whereas he's alleging that they wanted to eliminate evidence of their act.
