You nailed Kate's expression perfectly! I burst out laughing when I saw it, and now everyone's giving me strange looks. She's just all, 'WTF u doin' this time, Veritas?' or maybe 'I'm ashamed to be seen in your presence.'
And Jess looks appropriately psychotic.
Veritas looks remarkably like I imagined her to
She's all 'Kawaii' in that first picture. Like she's looking at a kitten or something. She's probably just finished manipulating someone into giving them their house or something, though. Much less cute if you think about that.
You draw awesomely! I love them
{Also, random math equations...}
There are too many toasters in my chimney!Thanks! ^_^. I can draw more if you would like me to. As you can tell from the math, it's not taking TOO much time off my hands. If you do, if you have any specifications (maybe switch around the noses or the eye types) just let me know!
And call me AHR, mushroom.

Read my stories!I would love it if you drew more, but not if it interferes with your life or anything. I don't wanna be a hassle
Bout the only critiwue I can think of are the noses. I always imagined Veritas having the biggest nose of the three, ad Kate having thee smallest. That hasn't been settled, though, so ignore that if you want.
Kate and Jess both have broken noses. They healed a long time ago, but they're kinda slightly crooked.
Also, Jess wears random things to mess with people's heads. Those cat ears were for when she walked into a village of bird-peoples. They were instinctively scared of her, and did whatever she asked. Other times, she wears knives all over her body, or relly ornate jewellery, or whatever. So go nuts with her accessories.
{I'll take a look at your characters, Mushroom.}
There are too many toasters in my chimney!By large, you mean bony large or soft squishy large? Because Ver is currently in possession of an african american nose, just without the nostrils. Never tried a broken nose though, that will be a bit of a toughie, but I will certainly try my best.
Cat ears? Thought it was a bow. Heh.

Read my stories!In terms of ensemble size, what size would you recomend me to begin with?
A pair? Trio? Five-Man Band?
Main characters yeah. By now I already have 6 characters and their roles:}
Zenjiro, The Hero and Badass Normal. Jolly and a tad snarky. He enjoys new experiences and alwasy looking for them. Pretends to be an idiot to fool his enemies.
Kojiro, The Lancer and and Gadgeteer Genius. Usually serious and traditional. He is more emotional than meets the eye.
Janice, The Smart Girl and Friendly Sniper (who said the smart guy has to be the science guy) She is the most down-to-earth of the bunch, albeit rather lazy. She likes reading comic books.
Nadeeda The Big Girl and Token Evil teamate. She is boastful and rude, has no problems in killing people as long as she gets cash. Has issues about her height
Coatzin, The Chick with Psychic Powers. Once a Human Popsicle from prehispanic times, she is usually shy and reflexsive, but can get really spunky. She likes smoking from an old ceramic pipe she always catties along
Mr Kawaii, The Team Pet. A prototype toy robot with unusual applications. Has bipolar disorder.
So thats the team I have assembled so far. What do you think?

Hmm, so here's the the hero of my Five-Man Band. I feel like she has some problems so, yeah, comments?
Name: Miranda “Mira” Darrow
Age: 15
Appearance: Mira’s of average stature, about 5’4. Medium brown skin. In the beginning of the story, her dark brown, almost black, hair is styled in a bunch of micro braids but for the rest of it, her hair’s in a big afro puff ponytail. Dark brown eyes and she wears glasses.
Personality: Mira’s dependable with a chronic hero syndrome. Helping people is what she does automatically, but, she often ends up screwing herself over in the process. She eventually learns that she shouldn’t always rush in to save every young child that is wandering around the middle of a dark forest. She doesn’t actually want to be the leader. So, usually, she’ll try to make the team vote on decisions, instead of taking charge. In a pinch, though, she generally can make good decisions. Mira has some a lot self-esteem issues and will beat herself up over every defeat, no matter how little. Actually, nearly all of the battles she gets into upset her. She’s aware of her issues though, and is trying to get over them, it’s just taking some time. Mira has never liked violence but she’s bonded of a war hammer that belonged to one of three gods of war. A weapon that forces her to regularly fight, or it will gradually weaken her until she’s in intense pain, barely able to stand, let alone swing a hammer. The compulsive fighting isn’t helping her though She was quite the bookworm back home, and is a bit upset that she has nothing to read (she can’t read the language, only speak it, and really that‘s only because of a spell). Mira’s rather iffy about romantic relationships, it’s not actually clear if she’s aware or cares that Amets is flirting with her. If anyone asks, she’ll either change the subject or stare blankly at them. She’s also possibly oblivious about the rather blatant relationship between her two best friends.
Weapons, powers, skills: the aforementioned hammer (she jokingly calls it Mjolnir but it has an actual fancy name but I haven’t thought of it yet). It used to be held by one of the three gods of war, specifically, the god of offensive war. It’s supposed to grant the bearer great strength. And while it does, in the beginning of the story, she’s barely aware of her surroundings when she fights. When she is in that state, it’s her against people she can fight and some other guys who she’s probably not allowed to fight but she might accidentally take a swing at them anyway. She’s mostly in training so she can become more aware in a battle, and be able to strategize.
Relationships: Felicia- Mira’s best friend since second grade. If you ask either of them, though, they couldn’t actually tell you how they became friends. They’ll both say something along the lines of, “she was just some weirdo who started following me around.” Neither can decide who was following whom, though. Mira usually vents her frustrations and worries to her. Felicia’s pretty much the only one who regularly calls her out when she gets all wangsty. They’re very close, with Felicia constantly hugging her and calling her pet names.
Arielle- They admittedly aren’t as close as Fee and Mira are, since Arielle met them in seventh grade. It was more like Mira dragged Ari to their table on her first day and that was that. They can usually bond over joking about Felicia’s flightiness. Or some books they read, or movie they saw. But that’s really it. They’ve never actually spent that much time hanging out one on one. It was always the three of them together or Mira and Felicia or Felicia and Arielle. Both of them have realized that but they haven’t done anything about it. Honestly, Mira thinks, a bit hypocritically, that Arielle is too shy and unassuming. She’s also a bit freaked out about Ari’s occasional blithe Fourth Wall breaking comments.
Amets- He was the one who summoned the girls and is now in charge of making sure they don't cause too much damage when they're on missions and whatnot. At first, while she wasn’t outright hostile towards him, they weren’t friends. He didn’t particularly like her either because his father was showering her and her friends with attention. Eventually, they become friends, after fighting side by side for awhile and agreeing that it was screwing up their team. They often, try, to come up with plans together. Although, his are more “magic solves everything” while she’ll try other ways, being skeptical about his actual magical skills. It doesn’t really matter anyway because she’ll just end up bludgeoning everyone she sees while he’ll spam lightning spells. They’re a bit similar, both having unresolved issues with their parents. Amets handles his better though. Amets is more energetic, not at Fee levels, he’s just friendlier and more prone to cracking jokes. Later on, Amets is into her but it’s not really clear if she reciprocates.
Amaia- Amets’ bodyguard and confidant. Mira is rather suspicious of Amaia. She often speaks very deliberately, only technically telling the truth, and her habit of leaving out important details. Amaia doesn’t trust Mira, either, believing she and her friends are too much of a wild card. They do have a grudging respect of each other’s abilities.
Agreeing with Morven, here. Six should be the upper limit. I try to cap mine off at three or four, though, if I can't bring it down to one or two.
Unless you're not planning on giving each of the characters any character development. I which case, go right ahead, stick dozens in.
Hmmm. Unless the entire point of a team is that they don't work well together, give the characters traits that will work well with at least some other members of the teams.
And I think just Nadeeda and Kawaii need the most development ATM, so just write up theirs, and we'll get around to it.
There are too many toasters in my chimney!Erhm...I has circus troupe. It maxes at...thirteen people and two animals. But two are brain damaged mutes and one is the clone of the other.
Is that too much?
Read my stories!Circus troupes and things like that are another story. You expect them to have lots and lots of people; their lives are intertwined with each other's. Normal circus troupes really do have dozens of characters, and it's not that hard to give them character depth; because they've already come so far in life to become circus people, they rarely need any further character development.
Character development is all about making a character grow and have new experiences.
There are too many toasters in my chimney!I'm aiming for a Heroic Sociopath with Nadeedah.
I want to make her evil but not too much, what would be your advice?
A few Pet the Dog moments to balance out all the kicking. Have her focus her sociopathic tendencies on the bad guys a few times.
There are too many toasters in my chimney!

OK! Image Shack or Dev art?
