If collecting figurines is serious business to you, you don't take them out of the package. I assume the electronic part still works if it's in the box.

The first half is in reference to scalpers selling amiibos at insanely high prices. The second half references collectors refusing to take them out of the package to actually use them for their intended purpose.
No, there's a piece of aluminum between the base and the box to prevent you from using them without opening them.
I have a ton of Transformers, all the currently available Star Wars Infinity figs, and a lot of other collectibles. NONE of them are in the box.
What is the point of buying something you're not going to play with?

because "mint condition" collecter's items have higher value. While one may or may not care about resale value, it feels rather weird to "damage" your stuff like that.
I once bought a limited edition comic book. They sent it all sealed up with a certificate of authenticity and everything. Now, I don't care at all about that stuff, and the comic probably will never be truly valuable, but I still recoiled at breaking the seal and piraten an e-book instead.
People are weird.
But by keeping your limited-edition comic pristine, you lower the value of those owned by real collectors! Have you learned nothing of The Great Comics Crash Of 1996? Everyone keeping their new "#1" comics in their plastic is what prevented speculators from getting rich!

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."I second that. Before my financial situation went to pot, I had two different collectible games I kept up with regularly: Magic The Gathering and Hero Clix.
I cannot for the life of me understand dropping $50-100 on a Mythic Rare card or Chase figure just to put it on a shelf and never use it. That is an awful lot of money to frame for decorative purposes.

Having characters fight adjacent to each other (or paired up in the same square) will boost their relationships with each other. After battle, they can have little support cutscenes that advance their relationship and boosts the amount that they mutually boost each others' stats. This can lead to marriages and children.
I have a message from another time...was kind of expecting Nowi to show up when I first read it, but then again Awkward Zombie already made that joke.
