I kinda liked that part too, though, since the core cast was the lead and main antagonist of the first ten games.

More stages are always nice, though.

I sure said that!

Yeah, though some of the stages wer just not good (Planet's Core) or represented a boring part of the area (Kefka's Tower)

I mean, that's more an issue with how Dissidia used them than how viable the last dungeons are as basis for Dissidia stages.

It's cool getting to see the weird crystals-and-meat area of The Rift, as a slight aside.

That is nice.

(Rift Castle was my favorite stage in Dissidia, though)

Planet Core was a lot of fun for anything but a ground character.

Haven't seen a single stage so far with a lot of air I don't think.

I didn't have much fun as an air character either. Having some floor is nice, and the verticality did not agree with the camera.

Mostly it's the Omega form that was bad.

my favorite character was firion

which meant that i hated literally every stage with verticality

At least his air game improved in 012.

For the best- Bartz's Mime gimmick got kinda not-so-good after the novelty wore off, since none of his attacks fit a theme beyond that and moreover he's actually really limited in what he can do.

What was that snowfield stage in Cecil's trailer?

Only FF 2 and 7 really have snowfields worthy of note that don't have characteristics already so I am thinking that's 2's.

VI also had a noteworthy snowfield at the top of Narshe. It's where you have that 3-team battle to defend the frozen Esper from Kefka.

It's Narshe......

Granted you can easily think it's a generic snowfield.

How can you tell? Much as I like Narshe, snowfield are kind of hard to distinguish without landmarks.

That's what they called it here...

Though in 1 of the pics in the distance you can see a village in the mountain side.

If it were Narshe I would expect to see the esper in the distance or at least the cliff.

EDIT: I guess it is, not one camera angle in the trailer showed the town.

Would have liked the actual town to have been a stage. >.>

From what i can tell they based it off the bit of map you see in the opening sequence to 6 (the part with Terra, Biggs and wedge walking to narshe in the magitek armor)

Bartz's new setup is pretty badass.

So, if Goblin Punch is now part of his standard moveset, I'm guessing Job Mastery just improves the attacks he's already got? I saw stuff like Roboteching arrows...
