Every biometal user in the ZX series. Also, an unknown number of android units created by Elysium were also called Mega Mans, presumably

Forever liveblogging the AvengersTBF, the first one is an enemy without that Duo extracted, the second one seems to be a split personality type of deal, since DARK Mega Man explicitly reacts to regular Mega Man like an alternate self.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"I wonder if the ZX or Legends comic will continue from where the endings left off.
The Protomen enhanced my life. Here's the first Timelines solicit.
"The Blue Bomber is back! MEGA MAN returns in five connected 1-shot comics spanning five different eras of robotic heroes! In this first issue, the original Mega Man squares off against two explosive and fiery Robot Masters bent on city-wide destruction! Fight, Mega Man! For everlasting peace!"
Those better be some iconic Robot Masters if it's only two. XD
The Protomen enhanced my life.Have I ever said on here how my favorite Classic game is 5?
"You can't spell 'Wario' without 'war'."Finally, another 5 enjoyer.
So I've been randomly thinking about X8 again after beating the fangame, and while the ending is overall better since Axl isn't there, and therefore Lumine's point about how the next gen reploids don't need the virus to go maverick and that they are WILLINGLY embracing Sigma's ideal is stronger, and adds to the melancholic tone of the ending in a more coherent way, that even if X defeats Sigma for good, Next Gen Reploids have the free will to CHOOSE to go maverick and are following in Sigma's footsteps instead of X's ideals, there's still a contradiction here.
That being aren't Reploids already free willed and can choose to do evil? Like, we have examples of mavericks without the virus like the Repliforce.
I get that they had to sell the next gen reploids as being the MORE free willed advanced reploids and that X and the others are being left in the dust, both in terms of ability and idealogy, but honestly, I think this plot point should have been thought out more.
It doesn't help that the Mega Man Zero series does a better job of exploring these ideas, and X8 has an awkward place in the timeline.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"It's probably a consequence of the Maverick Virus being used so often the idea that Reploids have the free will to be evil like humans do tends to be forgotten or overshadowed by Sigma and Wily's shenanigans
While it's only in the manual for the first X game — and thus dubiously canon — Vile's sadism was a consequence of a problem with his circuitry. He was unnecessarily brutal as a Maverick Hunter, so much so he was branded Maverick and locked up.

Disgusted, but not surprisedThe writers and artists for all 5 one shots are announced https://www.rockman-corner.com/2025/03/mega-man-timelines-writers-and-artists.html?m=1
welcome back to mega man Ian Flynn
One thing I like about Vile is that he stands out from other Megaman bosses in that he doesn't fight fair. Or rather, he doesn't rely solely on the power of his own robot body.
Both times he faces X in the first game, he shows up in a powerful Ride Armor. He's Ax-Crazy and he wants to prove himself better than X, but he's not taking chances. He's fighting to win.
Disgusted, but not surprisedIt's really telling that the only time he manages to score an actual win against X and Zero in his own story mode is by fighting fair and relying on the power he gained through his journey. No copied weapons, no ride armor just his own skills and power.
Of course, he then lost to a charge shot and Sigma pointed out he basically had no idea what he was going to do after beating X and validating his own existence, so it's really a shallow victory.
It echoes what Proto Man told Bass, that Mega Man is actually fighting for a better future while Bass only cares about satisfying his own ego, so even if he did beat Mega Man, Bass wouldn't feel any true satisfaction despite the latter's claims.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"

I wonder if they'll cover the Battle Network / Starforce timeline?
One Strip! One Strip!
