I'm thinking that the reason why Powered Up was on the PSP was that the DS did not have (significant) non-cart storage. The art style of Powered Up seemed to clash with the PSP's demographic and would have been a better fit in the DS population. MHX, on the other hand, seemed like a good fit for the PSP...
Of course, Capcom had to go and flood the market, alienating people...
We had a new Mega Man game and X did show up in Infinite Mv C (which is enough for me to like this game, f*ck the haters) so I do still hold on to a flicker of hope that the Maverick Hunter series will come back from limbo.
Mega Man X's story has too much potential to go unexplored like that.
Soo... does anyone remember the obscure "Of Network" duology? Which are 2 spinoff Battle Network games released for cell phones back in 2007 or 2008 I think, and despite being cellphone games. They seemed to have been pretty cool with a fair share of new Navis, heck I think the anime even used some elements from them!
Phantom of Network and Legend of Network. I've always been curious about those two, and thought that they could use a remake for actual game consoles.
On both Irregular/Maverick Hunter X and Powered Up, I liked how you have dialogue between the protagonist and the boss where the respective original versions didn't. I mean, for Powered Up, it showed how Rock/Mega interacted with the Robot Masters Light built before him and for Irregular/Maverick Hunter X, you have X apparently familiar with the eight Hunters that revolted with Sigma.
I always found it an interesting addition that Powered Up has the X-style warning siren. Including the pre-fight banter and the bosses having desperation attacks, it's like they wanted to bring over the staples from the X games back into the Classic series.
Get Ready To Dive Into Mega Man X DiVE’s Global Closed Beta On September 11
That idol collab mobile game came out and these Mega Man 2 Robot Master descriptions sure are something
Air Man: He modified himself into a tank, and always seem to be panting from lack of air.
Bubble Man: He now needs the IV drip to shoot the bubbles.
Quick Man: Doesn't look so quick anymore. Don't ever bother asking his weight!
Crash Man: The silky white beard has become his trademark. Seems to have trouble getting his bombs to crash.
Flash Man: His head has become quite flashy. Needs glasses to protect his eyes from all the dazzle.
Heat Man: Went through a lot, and now he can't go anywhere without his bottle of booze.
Wood Man: He's become an old tree, and can't go anywhere without his stick. His heart hasn't withered yet though.
Well, that's... dark.
At least it isn't dank like some memes...

Will Di VE ba available in English?
One thing about zero collection, I am NOT looking forward to phoenix Magnion again.
I never got why he was so hard for such an early boss.
No information on that yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did get an international release. Being a game where you can play as countless characters from the X series sounds like just the thing to tide fans over.
Does Dive have any sort of page on This Very Wiki (why don't we have that pothole anymore)?
No, but I'm all for giving it one.
Also, This Very Wiki has a new label.
The "Ayn Rand and God" thing never fails to leave me snickering.
Will that idol game get a page too? (I forget what it's called...)
Mega Man 20XX ~Fight! Team Shachi~. And I'm not sure, honestly.

Possible New Rockman X DiVE Features Teased
That idol game strikes me as weirdly mean spirited.
It does answer why the Classic Mega Man characters except Auto (in Volt Catfish's intro in the Saturn version of X3) and Cutman don't appear in the X series, though.
Wily was supposed to be in the Zero series in some capacity after appearing offscreen in X5 as a teaser but those plans were scuttled.
There's also the maybe-sentient Dr. light capsules.
There's the theory that he was gonna be Dr. Weil.
Which I personally feel for the best it was scrapped.
Yes, it would be beautifully symbolic for Zero to kill his creator and reject his mission of causing mayhem and destruction... but trying to make things too interconnected makes a setting feel smaller, and frankly the fact that Wily, if still alive, would take this bloody long to try his hand at world domination when he already created the perfect combat machine (as X wasn't really battle ready from the get-go) would require a monumental amount of bullshit to side-step.
