Started playing MM2 tonight. Knocked out Metal Man, Flash Man, Wood Man, Crash Man, and Quick Man.
Quick Man's stage doesn't bother me so much as Quick Man himself.

I jizzed in my pants. That art is bloody beautiful. Toru Nakayama is an amazing artist.
Oh, by the way, make sure you Use Crash Bombs Wisely.

Air Man is mostly Fake Difficulty. If you're lucky enough to mostly get avoidable tornado patterns, actually beating him is easy.
Grabbing is where you must begin Shaking for treasure from within Throwing far is how to win!I've.... never understood the whole Air Man thing. He was usually the 2nd or 3rd Robot Master I'd face back then.
I know difficulty is subjective, but all the videos I see about it make me think I'm some sort anomaly for not finding him to be That One Boss.
That said, I recently downloaded Megaman 9 (and 10, which I won't play until I beat 9) and am getting my ass kicked, so it may just be the fact that my gamer skills were better honed when I was a kid or something...
MM 2's Levels and bosses imo:
- Airman
- Level: Some tough platforming. Look before you leap
- Boss: Some "Air Puzzles" are unavoidable, but Air Man is pretty susceptible to the Buster.
- Quickman
- Level: Trial-and-Error Gameplay at it's finest. Also, Sniper Joe Mechas are teh sux!
- Boss: Actually pretty fun to fight against vs Buster (Lets face it, if you choke on your first attempt w/ the time stopper, you're fucked)
- Metalman
- Level: Shouldn't be too much trouble. Bring Item 2 for some goodies.
- Boss: Hope you can dodge while shooting. Memorize Metalman's three heights
- Bubbleman
- Level: On the homestretch, wait before you jump if you don't wanna be knocked off the stage
- Boss: Pathetically easy
- Woodman
- Level: The roadrunners are assholes. Jump over the dogs' fire streams.
- Boss: Tough. Bring Atomic Fire for best results.
- Flashman
- Level: Crash bombs and Item 1 to get the most out of this level.
- Boss: If his arena wasn't so awkward, he's be just a standard mook.
- Heatman
- Level: Fuck that block puzzle. Item 2 away!
- Boss: PREDICTABO!
- Crash(Clash?)man
- Level: On the tower, Climb the ladders on the right. Trust me on this.
- Boss: Awkward pattern. If you fire, he'll react. Fire in midair so that he jumps right into your shots.
^Metal Man is actually even easier once you realize that he shoots when you shoot. Just like Crash Man unless you get near him, in which case he just jumps away and attempts a pot shot at you.
...Let us in...For Crash Man, my strategy is to wait until he comes up to me, then (if I'm facing away from him, turn around and) shoot him, then run under him to the other side. Takes a while, but it guarantees minimal damage suffered.

http://twitter.com/raydere | http://raydere.tumblr.comYou mean the Buebeam Trap? Yeah, I have to agree; Mega Man 2 fails just for having that "boss".
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.I owned Megaman 3 for the longest time before I ever got to play 2. I always felt that 3 had better music than 2, but I guess 2's was more iconic or something.
I always felt like I was missing something whenever I used to read Megaman related reviews in magazines where the reviewer would almost always refer to MM 2 if he referred to any past MM games...
^^^ Probably because it had one of the best soundtracks of any Mega Man game for the NES, and it didn't needlessly complicate things by adding a charged shot or slide.

Awesomely random and randomly awesome. My anime list.^^^HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, no.
The charged shot and slide may be fun to use, but they detract from the gameplay. Simply running, jumping and shooting is enough for me.
Also, was anyone else bothered by the ungodly slowly-filling-up boss life bar in Mega Man 4?

^Indeed. After seeing what happened when Metal Slug got an MMO, I'm kind of skeptical about console franchises going that route...
