It just would have been nice to see something that was supposedly fictional in real life, even if it was a faceless, tentacle armed monster who sits around and does nothing but watch you sleep.

Platypi were once considered fictional. Go see one of them.

There may be a variety of reasons for that, including environmental and hygiene factors.

Fluid: I used something online that played the notes and kept adjusting until they were the same note. It wasn't far out of tune actually, which is surprising considering how long it's just been sitting there.

Now I'm going to look up some tabs to practice on. Give me an easy song! Or I'll go with maybe Ziggy Stardust.

Hey Jude, White Room, Iron Man, Sunshine Of Your Love and Back In Black are all good for beginners.

Play what you like, that'll probably keep you interested longer than anything I can recommend.

Of those, I'm thinking Iron Man or Back in Black, Lolipod. What about Ziggy Stardust, is that a good one?

Apart from Iron Man, I didn't see anything easy in that list...

I recommend Nirvana songs. They are quite easy.

[up]It's a Bowie song. Most tab info I fins puts it on intermediate.

Yeah, it's playable. You'll need a band though.

Those are the first songs my guitar teacher taught me, they're all easy.

Also, We Only Come Out At Night by Smashing Pumpkins, but it doesn't sound that great.

Your teacher had more faith on you or you started playing better than me.

Or both. Or I'm simply not that good. The last one is the one that's most likely.

Juan: Ah, ok. I do love Ziggy Stardust though.

I have played stringed instruments for a long time though. But it's been about 5 years since the last time I touched a guitar.

Lolipod:

This is Ziggy Stardust.

I think the only David Bowie I've managed to memorize so far is The Man Who Sold the World.

The first song I learned was Smoke on the Water(well, the rhythm section anyway).
