In which we get updates from the lives of tropers. Kinda like Twitter with more than 140 characters, but less than a blog or LJ.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

@Key - oh, I definitely have the what I believe/what I think would be fun to believe thing too.
I took it seriously the first time and got secular humanist along with you guys, though I was pretty close to being a unitarian universalist too, whatever one of those is. I would take it doing the 'what it's fun to believe thing' as well but then I was too indecisive on a lot of the questions and sort of gave up. There's a lot of appealing beliefs out there...
As with a lot of things, I don't particularly attach myself to one particular religion.
For my money, you're never gonna be able to tell if there is a God/afterlife/all that jazz or not while you're alive. I don't think it's something you can ever absolutely prove or disprove. So while I do believe in a lot of scientific theories, it isn't enough to convince me that there's no gods out there; I'm still definitely an agnostic. What I do reckon is if that all that does exist, then God understands. And if it doesn't exist, well, a rest would be pretty nice :P
I find it interesting, though. I was reading a lot of Wikipedia stuff on Shinto, recently; it's interesting. I want to read some stuff about Buddhism, too. I should get on with trying to read that Buddhism thread in Troper Covens sometime...
Aight, new top five religions for believing what I want.
1. Unitarian Universalism (100%)
2. Liberal Quakers (96%)
3. Baha'i Faith (94%)
4. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (93%)
5. Reform Judaism (93%)
I'll go for UU, but the idea of being a Quaker, a Baha'i, or a Jew are just funny to me.
And it seems I side with more of Protestant America; parents are Catholic, so that's funny too.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayI just can't disequate them with this guy
◊.
Waking up, knowing that all I can do today is homework, is disheartening.
"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."There are apparently no files on my computer with ppcre in the... oh right, wildcards
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.Okay, Key's results intrigued me, and I got a bit more determined to find my ideal religion and made a few choices, and in one or two cases skipped a question
1. Unitarian Universalism (100%)
2. Mahayana Buddhism (93%)
3. Theravada Buddhism (92%)
4. Liberal Quakers (85%)
5. Taoism (77%)
Well, there we go getting UU as well :P But hey, I'm also pretty Buddhist, apparently! And I do like some of the Taoist ideas, so I'm glad they got on there. Though I'm with Key on not knowing where the Quakers came from
I actually thought I'd get more Taoism, but I think I was thinking about a god too much...
And heh, Buddhist? I didn't expect that.
But cool anyway.
^No...that and actually shaking in a church.

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayI associate Quakers with Pennsylvania and not cursing, personally.
They also remind me of the Shakers, one of the more hilarious Christian splinter groups.

Also, surprised Satanism isn't in there. Or maybe it doesn't count as a religion.
I'd take that test, but all of the questions seem to have one answer for everyone irreligious.

I'm bored, understand? I'm so bored I'm reading All Star Batman And Robin...and I'm liking it.

Meh, I'm not really serious about most of it. I can't even do tarot readings! I do have a friend of mine do them for me sometimes.
I tend to be rather easily bored with religions though. You know?
I do have some stable on going segments to my personal belief system that does fit the neo-pagan umbrella though.
